  3. When asking for help it's useful to include details of the DSM version, which loader you're using & what hardware you're running.
  4. Please use the search facility in future. You should be able to reinstall 6.1 using the guide below.
  5. You should be able to migrate the disks to the new Synology box, which will keep all of your data intact. Having said that you should always ensure that you have a recent backup of any important data that you wish to keep.
  6. DSM is written to a hidden partition on all installed disks, synoboot.img is only used to boot.

  15. You should be using all cores of the new CPU, the CPU info you see in control panel is hard coded & reflects what is in a genuine synology. You can check by running the following command cat /proc/cpuinfo
  16. Is there any particular reason for using this nic, as the N54's inbuilt nic works fine.
  17. @Polanskiman My apologies, you're quite right, got a bit confused there.
  18. In your grub file the AMD bare metal version menuentry is commented out so it's not surprising it won't boot. I would recommend resolving this & removing the other menuentrys then trying again.
  19. @BIGCHEW151 Please use proper punctuation & spell check future posts to make them easier to read.
  20. As the N36 has an AMD cpu you will need to disable C1E support in the bios, also I would use the DS3615xs image. Not sure about the intel nic you've purchased but the inboard nic should work ok. You mention that you edited the Mac & SN, did you also set the USB'S VID & pid?
