    DSM 6.2 Loader

Osfmount is what I used too, however I removed all of the menu entries except for the first baremetal entry & I used the 3615 version.
  2. @aleoo77 Please provide more information about which loader & DSM version you're trying to install, also it would be helpful if you could say what network card & sata controller you have.

It was "theBay's" bios, do a google search & you should find it.

    DSM 6.2 Loader

I'd already disabled C1E support & didn't make any other bios changes. I used the internal USB port.

    DSM 6.2 Loader

For a test of DSM 6.2 I removed all of my existing disks & USB stick, created a new one with jun's 1.03b loader, setting the vid & pid as normal, then just went through a clean install. It should work as a migration from 6.1 but as I don't need 6.2 at present I haven't tested that.
  7. @nonyhaha if you had searched the forums or looked in the FAQ's you would have found this:
  8. @csphoenix1 Some information regarding DSM version would be helpful as Synology has made changes as to how things work in later versions.
  9. @oe1wrs it would also be worth checking out the tutorials & FAQ's before proceeding further.
  10. @maddhaze Welcome to the forums, there are lots of good tutorials that are worth looking at. I'd also suggest checking out the FAQ's.
  11. Try booting from a live Ubuntu USB stick.
  12. No, the folder will be on the installed HDD's not the the USB stick.

    DSM 6.2 Loader

In order for people to assist you please state what hardware you're using. Also you might want to try 6.2 with a spare HDD just to make sure that your hardware is compatible.
  14. As very few people are likely to have that hardware I would suggest that you test it yourself with a spare HDD.
  15. Have you set the correct vid & pid for the USB key?

@gold8009 I have translated your post this time but please ensure that future posts are in English
  17. The N54L will run 6.1 quite happily, you will however have to disable C1E support in the bios. As you're running below 5.1 it is advisable to upgrade to 5.2 before attempting to upgrade to 6.1 UNLESS you do a clean install. As for VM's, inless you aphave a real need I'd stick with bare metal. See this guide to upgrade.
  18. @TundraLu Post a request for the driver in the driver requests thread.
  19. Your Sata disks need to be running in AHCI mode in the bios, not IDE.

Only you can decide that. If the test was successful everything should be fine, however there is always a risk that something can go wrong when performing an upgrade & it is advisable to have a backup of any data that you aren't willing to risk loosing.
  21. Live booting Ubuntu will not affect your DSM installation.
  22. Hi Jules, welcome to the forum. Most people run ESXI, have a search throthe forums & you'll find lots of information & guides.

    DSM 6.2 Loader

No, just use jun's 1.03b loader.
  24. Setting the correct vid/pid of the USB stick has nothing to do with quickconnect. It will however resolve the error 13 issue you're having.
