  1. FYI: There are "some" issues in regards to the 3617 systems with DSM 6.x, stay to 3615 (or 918+ if you have the hw for it). You don't have to take my word for it, just search the forum...
  2. @omar According to a Google translate, If you use MicroSD on HP Gen8: VID 0x0424 - PID 0x4030 this is the internal card reader, (located on the USB bus)
  3. @Manolenta Where you able to change the IP on your client, to bypass the IP ban, letting you use SSH locally.
  4. @Manolenta Did you try the "easy step" and change the IP on your banned client?
  5. @SerpensAlatus did you by any chance update your NAS?
  6. @Tuxx You should have read the update-reports, as then you would have found out that the internal nic is not supported with the latest update. If you add a supported Intel (or other) nic, you will be back online
  7. Did you do this: Go to Storage Manager > Volume > Manage > Expand the volume?
  8. What router do you have? (make/model) and what firmware is it using?
  9. Hmm .... Seems like it has been discussed in the french section, but with no conclusion The 88SE9215 chipset seems to be working, if you search the forum. According to 1 post, the Intel i221 NIC should work. The header of the Ali post says: "SATAIII" ports, but the spesifications says SATA-2 (12 normal ports, 1 Mini PCIE MSATA) ? Warning posted on Ali: ""This motherboard is advertised as being a mini-ITX motherboard, but it is 180mm by 170mm, so it is larger than the mini-ITX specifications and won't fit quite a number of mini-ITX cases. "
  10. So, you have set a fixed IP on your NAS, and I suppose you have set an IP reservation on your router? Or have you defined the "fixed" IP on the router side on any other way? If you reserve an adress for your NAS in your DHCP server, you should leave the NAS on DHCP, not use static in that end. If you set a fixed IP on your NAS, use an adress outside the DHCP scope.
  11. Using DHCP or fixed IP on your NAS? You *did* tr to reboot it after restaring your router?
  12. 1 - What bootloader do you use? 2 - What version (and build) of DSM? 3 - 3615/3617/916/918?
  13. @Ultimate would you feel safer if @jensmander provided checksum / hash values for his compilation? That way you can check to see if you have a legit version of this nice (and safe) tool, with no added malware from unknown sources.
  14. @AlexThomsen make sure your USB boot stick is the primary boot device (and do not remove it from the USB port).
  15. You might be able to use USB Image Tool to backup your USB stick, and restore it to your SD card.
  16. Any links to this board? It would seem to me that this board might be better used as a router/firewall than a NAS, due to the numbers of NIC's compared to the storage options on the picture.
  17. @JRCOMTECH Just to be sure of what happened, and what you want to do, If I got this right: 1 - you have "destroyed" your working DS1511+ by overwriting it's factory bootdevice with one of Jun's modyfied bootloaders? 2 - Now, you want to recover your system to working status, by reinstalling a factory bootloader? Then maybe @FlorisVN may help you as he has done some research on that subject.
  18. @compuman Care to share the found solution? (in case someone else would like to give it a try)
  19. @vollz Since we are already a bit off-topic, in regards to the original post. What are you using as vnic on your VM?
  20. @gquiring If I read your Q correctly, you want to create an image file from your working USB bootstick, then read out the info from that grub.cfg using OSFMount, using Windows as your OS?
  21. Some Q's: In regards to HP P410 / P410i, did you read the FAQ? Do you have a list over the PCI ID's of the controllers you was not able to use? Did you configure them as RAID or AHCI? And did you check if any of the other controllers could work with extra drivers? (those are to be used with Jun's 1.02b/DSM 6.1.x, but gives an idea).
  22. @v_sedih The upper 3 boxes are showing the read performances, the lower 3 are showing the write performance. Just as @jensmander was pointing out, the last box on the right, shows the latency (zaderzhka / задержка). in micro- and milli-seconds. In regards to latency, smaller number is better. The SSD is showing a much better value=faster. When it comes to IOPS and Throughput, the first 2 boxes, bigger is better, and again the SSD outperforms the HDD in your test. So, why do you think your SSD is slow? It's actually just where it should be as far as I can tell.
  23. Oops somehow I missed the info about it being a G8 Microserver... that's why I added the last Q. I'm sure you have already tried this, but have you shut down both the NAS and the router, booted the router and then the NAS? Let me see if I got this correctly, did you first set a fixed adress directly on the NAS, or did you first reserve the DHCP given adress (within the DHCP scope), then setting it to a different, but fixed IP directly on your router? Seeing your other problems, with the "disappearing" shares, it seems like there are some other problem "hidden" somewhere. Are you using Jun's 1.02b bootimage? And, are you using the 3615 or the 3617 variant? Depending on how much (important) data you have on your NAS, the fastest way might be to do a full clean install. You might be lucky, and do a "migrate" install, going from 15 to 17, or the other way around, and by so, deleting the settings (and apps) but keeping your data. Or you may boot a linux distro, and format the system partition(s) on your disk(s), keeping the data partition(s) intact. (btw: if it's important, you allready have at least 2 backups of your data;-) ) Or, while running the live-linux, you might edit the files keeping your network config, resetting it to defaults (DHCP). BTW: Are you only using the internal nic's on your G8, or have you installed any extra nic's? (in case you want to go the 6.2.x way).
  24. 1 - Do you find it if you use the Synology Assistent? If so, is that IP it shows you the same as you try to connect to? 2 - Do you have another PC at home, that you can try to connect from, in case your IP has been autoblocked? btw: What "Branded Hardware" are you using? (in regards to this subforum...)
  25. Make a new USB stick, with 1.02b (for DS3615xs) Download this .pat file, and try doing a manual install with it: https://archive.synology.com/download/DSM/release/6.1.7/15284/DSM_DS3615xs_15284.pat
