  1. Because there are people which have strong rigs and they want to virtualize the hardware to be used for DSM but also for other virtual machines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Try changing the cable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. For XenServer try this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2152&start=880#p18889
  4. I hope somebody at Synology can do some marketing mombo-jumbo and raise this Xpenology community as being their test environment.
  5. You have one or more packages failing to start. I had the same issue. It's quite hard to fix this. Try to reinstall your system but with the option migrate data.
  6. Probably you should try nanoboot x64 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 4493 topic viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3198
  8. I'm a bit of geek myself but frankly, i didn't understand your question What do you want to do?
  9. Just ordered the ASRock Q1900-ITX - 72EUR So no luck with Xpenology? Hmm, i will try it too.
  10. I tried and and trashed it after didn't finished indexing in 48h. And my collection was rather small at that time Nevertheless, let's stop whining and check what this man has to say about our proposals
  11. I have a UE46ES7000 and i'm completely satisfied. DLNA by default is working on it. Dunno why people run after Plex when anyhow they don't use more than the basic features
  12. I'm using the native Syno apps on Android and iOS and the package Synology Video Station and i can play movies on the fly on an AMD E350 dual core, with no impact on cpu usage You don't need a Xeon! My suggestion is to prepare with Xpenology an old computer and do a productive test before you start anything large
  13. Why use Plex over the Syno's native Media Server DLNA package?
  14. Man, your hardware probably was designed for ZFS but i just wanna say to you that it's a useless usage of resources for XPenology. I also had ZFS on FreeNAS, nas4free, and all those NASes that apparently are highly efficient. Sell thee hardware on ebay, buy an I3 Haswell or a J1900 quad core with 2-4GB RAM and a sixpack of beer (or more) as these procs provide a massive decrease on your energy bill I have a trendnet switch and a SSD on my primary computer. My speed varies from 100 to 120MB/s but i do have "Write Cache active"
  15. Așteptam feedback Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Go to Synology Packager Center and go to settings and add manual sources Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Salut Sergiu, E chiar simplu. Take nanoboot (last version), write it on another USB stick, and boot it. After boot, use the latest .pat file (4482) and try to upgrade your DSM with Synology Assistant or the WebGUI. The system will mention if your data is migrant able or not. You can continue (there is ALWAYS a risk) or you can cancel the upgrade. And by the way, there is always a risk with standard Syno boxes and original DSM, but definitively the risk is is smaller. Succes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Short question, How are you using all those HDDs in ESX? You have a separate partition where you installed ESX or you created a raid matrix and presented it to ESX?
  19. Do you want to clone The Internet?
  20. Amazing post mate! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Apparently we share the same issues. What hardware do you have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
