The second is your onboard SATA controller and the third one is the HBA. So why dont you use : SataPortMap=1(internal ports)(hba ports) DiskIdxMap=0f0800 the strange things is that, when I plug the hba disks, if I leave a internal ports empty(no disk on it), then in dsm this port would be reported as error, instead of "no disk detected". e.g. when SataPortMap=5 DiskIdxMap=00 if I leave all ports emtpy, dsm will report (1,2,3,4) error and if I plug the first port , dsm report will be (2,3,4) error and I tried you said the result be like: SataPortMap = 18 DiskIdxMap=0f00, no internal disk, 2 hba disk, the error can be (16) error. SataPortMap = 158 DiskIdxMap=0f0800, no internal disk, 2 hba disk, the error also be (16) error. SataPortMap = 158 DiskIdxMap=0f0800, no internal disk, no hba disk, the error can be "cannot detect disk". SataPortMap = 158 DiskIdxMap=0f0800, 1 internal disk, no hba disk, works fine. SataPortMap = 158 DiskIdxMap=0f0800, 1 internal disk, 2 hba disk, works fine. It seems like the internel disk fill the 16th index. So thats why I think the internel controller is the first controller. maybe this error info helps? now I disabled my onboard controller in BIOS, and it just workd. but I still want to know what the right solution is. No reinstall needed.

If i use an other USB Key (with the loader 7.0) whereas host reboot, i will lost host with XPEnology 6.2. Is it possible to convert a install from VMWare to OVA file for VMM ? Try broadwellnk 3622 and if its not working for you try broadwell 3617 or bromolow 3615 But since we know that 3615 is out of support life soon, i suggest you start with 3622. TG3 should be auto detected. Edited March 16, 2022 by pocopico

Savek Posted March 16, 2022 Share #1490 Posted March 16, 2022 I just installed on baremetal GA-Z77X-UD5H with i7-3770 - using the 3615xs bromolow image. The only thing that did not work was the setting of the Sata and Drive map. While the board has 6+2+2 SATA-Ports, I had to set the satamap to "1" and attach the test HDD to the first SATA-port on the board (drive map as "00"). With the "correct" settings, I would only get error messages about drive errors and disabled sata ports. Using the "1" and "00" settings, I was able to install the bromolow-7.0.1 image just fine and so far all seems well - did not yet try to add more disks but the controllers are recognized by the kernel (judging from the dmesg-output). So thanks @pocopico for your work!
thekidz Posted March 16, 2022 Share #1491 Posted March 16, 2022 Hi all I have managed to get redpill working on ESXI 7 U3 . with ds918+ 4 vcpus and dedicated 16g ram I have 1 virtual sata drive configured for the loader I have the cannon lake AHCI controller in passthrough with 6 sata drives 4 for storage and 2 sata cache drives. all in the right location I have a single port of a quad port intel x710 in passthrough 10g I have the intel iris 630 gpu in passthrough It has been running very stable for 2 months now. Don't ask me how I got there, but lets say, it was a lot of trial and error and a lot of reading. You guys are great and I can't thank you all enough. I would like to upgrade to 7.01-42218 update 3. I am currently on update 2. I have seen reports of this being successful on different versions of the tiny core loader. How can I tell which version of tinycore I am running on currently I don't remember. I think I may be on .45. Is it worth trying to upgrade to .46? Any help, thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated.

synoxpe Posted March 17, 2022 Share #1495 Posted March 17, 2022 Anyone got the Virtual Machine Manager to boot a Windows VM on ds3622xs+? I'm on a bare metal installation and when I power the VM on, I see the Windows logo appearing very shortly followed by a blank screen with a blinking cursor. Nothing happens further. I'm using compatibility mode CPU and booting from the installation ISO.
pocopico Posted March 17, 2022 Author Share #1496 Posted March 17, 2022 @screege @xennix It makes no sense to keep working with each individual on the same problems. Please spare some time reading. Thank you for response yes it is a laptop. I checked the bios for some infos but there is no sata number or sata infos. I decide to build the usb again but changed "SataPortMap": "6", to "SataPortMap": "1", and it works now. 1 internal hdd and 2 usb hdd recognized. I would like to add another internal 2.5 hdd with hdd enclosure instead of cdrom drive but xpenology doesn't see that. I decide to build the another usb. changed "SataPortMap": "1", to "SataPortMap": "2", and find.mysynology couldn't find the nas. I wonder is there any way to use 2 internal hdd on my system because I used to use xpenology 6. Thank you for your helps
