Question: Whenever I use the shutdown function in DSM (baremetal), it immediately starts a reboot after shutdown, the device does not stay off. Do you have the same behaviour or any idea whiy?

Mine is shutting down properly. Asrock J5040. Some motherboards refuse to shutdown. There were a shutdown package long time ago on this forum. I don't beleive that will worknow. But search and try.

I tried using apollolake-4.4.302.tgz file in my M SHELL for TCRP in the modules.zip you compiled.

M SHELL for TCRP DSM 7.1 used arpl-modules directly.
Currently, I am also using arpl-modules that I compiled myself after forking.

However, apollolake-4.4.302.tgz made with the 7.2 compiler prepared by fabio had an unknown symbol and invalid module format issue.

That issue I confirmed with pocopico a few weeks ago.

I tried using your apollolake-4.4.302.tgz on TCRP DSM 7.2 RC and DS1019+ and the junior log gave the same " invalid module format, unknown symbol".

In your arpl all modules work without this "unknown symbol" message?

Official distribution of DSM 7.2-64551 RC version to M SHELL for TCRP has been completed.

During the DSM 7.2 RC installation process, the automatic installation of the latest version of DSM still has problems, so a file corruption message appears.

If you download and install DSM manually, there is no problem.

I downloaded wjz304/arpl-i18n, but it will not boot on MBR, is there a version of it that will?

I tried writing with 3 different IMG writing softwares, it will not read it on boot.

I have a Microserver G8.

I have no idea how to follow the Chinese text, could someone just write how to do it in a simple way, please? 😊

Tried to clean dlid.status, rebooted, nothing works, I can't create a volume :

But again, it "seems" if DSM never had internet access before volume creation, then it works...

Or there is something I don't catch that some times make it works, some times not.

FYI, In 7.2 you have the option to use shared folder encryption and shared folder WORM options.

Did anybody already test the new feature with volume encryption and external kmip-server?

I tested this deployment (https://github.com/rnurgaliyev/kmip-server-dsm) with Synology's first beta 7.2 and it was working like a charm.

No I installed 7.2 RC (7.2-64551) and kmip-server on a raspberry pi and I have following behaviour:

kmip server deployment working
paring with kmip client working
enabling kmip server in global settings
=> successful connected, all status green

But after reboot, I get critical warning that volume could not be decrypted, while kmip server still shows green / connected.
When I try to manual initiate the decrypt, I have to upload the recovery key.

I had a look into kmip-server's logfile:

when I initially connect => only positive log results
when I try "check connection" => only positive log results
but after reboot of Synology client: no log file entry,.. just nothing

Seems that Synology has a bug in the RC firmware version, that no request is sent to kmip-server?
When using local key vault, the automatic decryption is working. Can somebody confirm this maybe? Do you have the same problem?

Hardware: Asus M5A78L-m/br:

I could install TCRP with friend using ARPL, build a loader for 3622xs+ (with friend), reboot and find synology works. after upload .PAT file, the network went dead.

~~On "System info" screen it keep saying that I need extension r8168. Is this a external module?~~ - Forget this.

Without friend it works without friend, as before on 7.1.1.x.

it seams that the parameters SataPortMap is empty on grub.json. Is this correct?

This hardware has 6 sata ports and on 7.1.1.x I could only use 5. On this 7.2 I can use all 6 ones. 😁

Is there a way to upgrade from 7.1.1 to 7.2?

I was installing 7.2RC to a new hardware, where I know "with friend" does not work, using mshell (tinycore-redpill.v0.9.4.3-2.m-shell). I had chosen "JOT before friend", but at the middle of the process of build the loader, this message comes out "bring my friend..." and after the process finished and reboot, no network activity. I could not find the box.

Any suggestions?
