Ситуация такова: На одном и том же железе, неважно на каком (пусть это будет материнка N3150I-C-SI-2002) - на модели DS923+ виртуальная машина не запускается. Но если установить DS224+ - то ставится и запускается и работает. В чём может быть причина - не знаю.
