  1. Hi All, Im trying to get a HPE ProLiant DL360e Gen8 (got a couple of these machines for free and want to use them for my lab) to work with the XPenology project, the server contains following. 2 * Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2450L 0 @ 1.80GHz (Sandy Bridge) 1 * Intel(R) i350 Gigabit 4-port Network Adapter 1 * HPE NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port Server Adapter (QLogic 82XX) Intel's C600 chipset HPE Smart Array P420 Controller It boots up, but can not find any disks (there are 8 * 2tb in HBA mode attached), and the extra.lzma for DS3617xs has been added to the usb stick. Are there any way to login to the device during install ? and check what drivers are loaded ? i want to check if the hpsa.ko is loaded, or perhaps it dosnt recognize the controller. Kind Regards, lthasenhod

    DSM 6.2 Loader

    - Outcome of the clean install: FAIL - DSM version prior update: none - Loader version and model: Jun's Loader v1.03b - DS3617xs - Using custom extra.lzma: NO - Installation type: Clean install - Hardware: HP Microserver Gen8, RAM: 16GB HP, CPU E3-1230 V2 @ 3.3GHz, NIC: HP QLogic 82XX dual 10GB SFP+, HDD 4 * Samsung HD204UI. SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB - Additional comments : After install it fails to get an ip address on any network card, if i take out the HP QLogic card before install it works, as soon as i put it back in, the machine endlessly writes below during boot EDIT: after further investigation it seems the qlcnic driver is broken, when the card is in i cant even do ifconfig/lspci command via serial console without the system freezing/halting. Kind Regards, LThasenhod
  3. Hi All, I would like to generate an "Original" Synology USB Key. the first thing i did was: root@diskstation:~# lsusb -ciu |__usb1 1d6b:0002:0310 09 2.00 480MBit/s 0mA 1IF (xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0) hub |__1-5 f400:f400:0100 00 2.00 480MBit/s 200mA 1IF (Synology DiskStation xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) 1-5:1.0 (IF) 08:06:50 2EPs () usb-storage host3 (synoboot) how do i find out what "usb key" chipset synology is using ? the original pid/vid/version of Synology seems to be f400:f400:0100 , no matter what kind of diskstation/rackstation you have. anyone know how to change pid/vid/registration of an USB key ? the best would be buying an usb key that have the same chipset and size as Synology original. another question, i replaced part of the line in the output with xxxxxxxx as i do not know if that part means anything, any of you know what it means ? Kind Regards, Lars Christian Thasenhod
  4. Hi there! I can not seem to get my Adaptec 71605 to run under Xpenology JUN loader 1.02b, with the extra.lzma from IG-88 included, it says no harddrives attached, when i boot on a live ubuntu its the aacraid kernel module, and as far as i can read that should be included in the extra.lzma from IG-88, is there different versions of aacraid kernel module depending on model of adaptec controller ?
