  1. Hi Thanks for the info. I did some further testing. This is working after a sucessfull installation "SataPortMap": "34", "DiskIdxMap": "00" But if I want to install it on a new disk with these settings, same message. Really strange. Where do I have to place 4 or 3? Thanks!

Parsing ELF... done. Booting the kernel.", la led de la carte réseau clignotte ? Si oui, est-ce que ton DHCP est autorisé à attribuer une IP à l'adresse mac 00:11:32:48:BB:AA ?
  3. Hi, Can somebody help me with the SATAPORTMAP settings? (Bare Metal installation) This is what Tinycore is saying "SataPortMap": "64", "DiskIdxMap": "0004" DSM is found but then its saying sata ports disabled..... If I fill this in the grub.cfg file SataPortMap=1 DiskIdxMap=0C Then I can install DSM but not all of the sata ports are working, only the sata ports on the PCIE card are working but not the sata ports on the motherboard. In my BIOS I only see 3 SATA ports and 1 eSata port. So something is wrong with my Sata settings. Thanks
  4. Thank you for response yes it is a laptop. I checked the bios for some infos but there is no sata number or sata infos. I decide to build the usb again but changed "SataPortMap": "6", to "SataPortMap": "1", and it works now. 1 internal hdd and 2 usb hdd recognized. I would like to add another internal 2.5 hdd with hdd enclosure instead of cdrom drive but xpenology doesn't see that. I decide to build the another usb. changed "SataPortMap": "1", to "SataPortMap": "2", and find.mysynology couldn't find the nas. I wonder is there any way to use 2 internal hdd on my system because I used to use xpenology 6. Thank you for your helps

  7. the strange things is that, when I plug the hba disks, if I leave a internal ports empty(no disk on it), then in dsm this port would be reported as error, instead of "no disk detected". e.g. when SataPortMap=5 DiskIdxMap=00 if I leave all ports emtpy, dsm will report (1,2,3,4) error and if I plug the first port , dsm report will be (2,3,4) error and I tried you said the result be like: SataPortMap = 18 DiskIdxMap=0f00, no internal disk, 2 hba disk, the error can be (16) error. SataPortMap = 158 DiskIdxMap=0f0800, no internal disk, 2 hba disk,the error also be (16) error.   8. I have the impression that the USB loader disk will always be the first disk. The second is your onboard SATA controller and the third one is the HBA. So why dont you use : SataPortMap=1(internal ports)(hba ports) DiskIdxMap=0f0800
  9. after some try, I found dsm will always detect the first satacontroller In my occasion, onboard sata was my first controller and HBA card would be the second, meanwhile I have no disk on my onboard sata ports. so dsm will always report that sataport went wrong. After trying to set SataPortMap to 08 to block the first controller and lead to no ip address. I want to know if theres anyway that I can use my HBA card as my first controller?
  10. Yes, your disks start after 5 (a,b,c,d,e). Your is sdf. So I would try SataPortMap=18 and DiskIdxMap=0f00
  11. I just tried 3622 and it works fine and now I can reach the synology webpage. But now it turns to "We've detected errors on the hard drives (1,2,3,4) and the SATA ports have also been disabled. ... replace or remove the hard drives and try again" I have 2*2T disks with SHR on my hba card, but now the new 3622 seems not recognize it. but with fdisk I can see the 2T raid there , heres the fdisk -l result: I have 2 sataport on my motherboard and with no disk on it. and my SataPortMap = 5 which was generated by ./rploader.sh sataportmap now .   14. Без скрипта настраисаю через virtual-manager создал машину. CPU kvm64 стоит. Правда UEFI пробую.   15. Hi! I have some problem with LSI card on DS918+. I have a LSI SAS2008 IT running on ASROCK H81m-itx. At First, I build the loader with the automatic ./rploader.sh serialgen apollolake-7.0.1-42218 ./rploader.sh usbidentify now ./rploader.sh satamap now ./rploader.sh build apollolake-7.0.1-42218 With this loader, the NAS did not get ip and I cannot reach synology webpage. and if I unload the HBA card and reboot, all works fine. After searching the internet, I found this issue #14 but it was for DS3615xs. I tried it to DS918+ by sudo ./rploader.sh ext apollolake-7.0.1-42218 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/mpt2sas/rpext-index.json and find it works! now I can normally reach the webpage but theres another problem that the synology webpage cannot detect my sas drive attached to my HBA card. I tried everything like add pocopico.mptsas , change SataPortMap to AAAA but nothing works. I'm new from here, Im not really sure I should put these above at this post. So if I did wrong Im sorry. Can someone help me?
  16. Moin, Ende letzten Jahres habe ich mir einen neuen NAS zusammengestellt. Die Hardware sieht wie folgt aus: Mainboard: Asus P9D-I REV 1.02 (SATA => 2x 6Gb/s blau, 2x 3Gb/s schwarz) CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1220v3 HBA: LSI IBM SAS9220-8i (geflasht zu 9211-8i, IT-Mode, FW 19.00.00.00 ) RAM: 2 x 8GB Kingston PC3-12800 KVR16E11/8, UDIMM, EEC SSD: 1 x 500GB Kingston SA400S37480G HDD: 4 x 4TB Western Digital WD40EFRX-68N32N0 Das Ganze ist in einem 8-Bay Gehäuse verbaut. Als Bootloader verwende ich die Version 1.04b und als DS-Image das der DS918+ (DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 4). Mein Ziel ist es zukünftig 8 HDDs über den HBA und zwei interne SSDs über die beiden blauen 6Gb/s Anschlüsse des MB (Motherboard) zu betreiben. Dabei hätte ich gerne, dass die Slotbelegung im Speicher-Manager wie folgt aussieht: SSD1 SSD2 HDD1 HDD2 HDD3 HDD4 HDD5 HDD6 HDD7 HDD8 Zurzeit sollte es dann so aussehen, da noch nicht alle Festplatten vorhanden sind: SSD1 LEER HDD1 HDD2 HDD3 HDD4 LEER LEER LEER LEER Ich muss also etwas in der „grub.cfg“ und/oder „synoinfo.conf“ konfigurieren. Ich habe mir diesbezüglich unterschiedlichste Forenbeiträge aus diesem und auch anderen Foren durchgelesen. Ich habe immer wieder mögliche Konfigurationen ausprobiert, leider ohne großen Erfolg. Eine Änderung stelle ich nur bei der Anpassung der Parameter Maxdisks und internalportcfg (synoinfo.conf) fest. Eine Anpassung der Parameter SataPortMap und DiskIdxMap (grub.cfg) bewirkten bis jetzt keine wahrnehmbaren Änderungen. Die Slotbelegung im Speicher-Manager sieht immer wie folgt aus: SSD1 LEER LEER LEER LEER LEER HDDw HDDx HDDy HDDz Je nachdem was ich bei Maxdisks angebe sehe ich am ende mehrere oder weniger freie Slots oder wenn ich internalportcfg ändere, kann ich einzelne Festplatten deaktivieren, was aber kein Aufrücken der Slot auf der rechten Seite zu Folge hat. Zwischenzeitlich habe ich gedacht, was soll der Kleinkram, ich setze Maxdisk auf 14 und kann dann auch auf alle 8 HDDs über den HBA zugreifen. Gesagt getan… Nun ist es aber so, dass mein SH-Raid (4 HDDs) täglich abstürzt, ohne das Daten drauf vorhanden sind oder explizit Daten geschrieben oder gelesen werden. Testweise habe ich 2 HDDs am MB angeschlossen (SATA-Port schwarz) und 2 HDDs am HBA und dann zwei getrennte SH-Raid erstellt. Und sieh da, nach knapp 1 Tag war der SHR am HBA wieder abgestürzt. Der SHR am MB läuft nun schon einige Tage ohne abzustürzen. Die Slotbelegung sieht dabei übrigens wie folgt aus: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 SSD1 LEER HDD1 HDD2 LEER LEER HDDy HDDz LEER LEER Die Slots 5 und 6 kann ich übrigens niemals belegen, da es sich dabei anscheint um zwei Port Handelt, die physisch nicht nach außen geführt sind. Das MB baut auf dem Chipsatz C222 auf, welcher 2x 6Gb/s und 4x 3Gb/s SATA unterstürzt. Das MB hat aber insgesamt nur 4 SATA-Ports (2x 6Gb/s blau, 2x 3Gb/s schwarz). Bei dem Betrieb am HBA ist mir aufgefallen, dass nach einem Neustart die HDDs in unterschiedlicher Reihenfolge angezeigt werden, als ich sie installiert habe. Also die Laufwerke 7-10 wechseln ihre Festplatten. Das habe ich anhand der Seriennummer beobachtet. Ich habe schon öfters von diesem Phänomen mit der 9211-8i gelesen, aber keine Lösung dafür gefunden. Aufgrund dessen, das der SH-Raid am HBA immer abstürzt, habe ich die Hoffnung, dass ich „nur“ das Sata-Port-Mapping korrekt vornehmen muss, damit die HDDs am HBA nicht mehr abstürzen. Folgende Mapping varianten habe ich ausprobiert (und viele mehr, aber nicht notiert): Test# Internalportcfg SataPortMap DiskIdxMap sata_remap 1 FFF 48 - - 2 FFF 228 - - 3 FFF 84 - - 4 FFF 822 - - 5 3FCF 68 - - 6 3FCF 248 - - 7 3FCF 2228 - - 8 3FCF 86 - - 9 3FCF 842 - - 10 3FCF 8222 - - 11 3FF - - 7>3:8>4:9>5:10>6:11>7:12>8:13>9:14>10 12 3FF 248 000206 7>3:8>4:9>5:10>6:11>7:12>8:13>9:14>10 Alle diese Versuche waren ohne Erfolg. Es hat sich Garnichts in der Slotansicht verändert. Ich bin mit meinen Ideen und Interpretationsmöglichkeiten am Ende. Hat jemand von euch eine Idee wie ich die Festplattenreihenfolge wie gewünscht erreiche? Oder wie ich einen Absturz der Festplatten am HBA verhindere? Anbei schicke ich noch eine Grafik, welche das I/O-Mapping des Chipsatzes C222 zeigt. Möglicherweise hilft die Grafik bei der Wahl der richtigen Mapping-Parameter!? When using RedPill loader, sata port mapping is required for this Z590, I'm using this config DiskIdxMap=0006 SataPortMap=66 SasIdxMap=0 as there are 6 sata port on the board and 6 port pcie sata card.

Hi, where can i find a proper guide how to setup the SataPortMap and DiskIdxMap correctly? i am using Proxmox with Tinycore Redpill i had the SATA Controller passthrough to DSM7 in TinycoreLinux, i can see all 3 disk from that SATA controller, 8TB 4TB and 3TB total 3 disks. i run ./rploader.sh satamap now and generated and successfully build the loader. it seems Tinycore see that i have 4 SATA controller and it generate SataPortMap = 7587 however when i reboot and logged in to Synology, it only see 2 HDD which is a 4TB and 3TB, the 8TB is always not appear. i had tried different SataPortMap and DiskIdxMap combination, but the 8TB is always disappear, going back to Tinycore Linux it will appear again. kindly advice what can i do?
  23. Looks like I need some help on this. I have DSM 6.2 running on proxmox 7. All works ok so far. I now wanted to pass through a SATA controller (Marvell 88SE9230). If I use the GUI to pass the controller through by adding the controller to the hardware of my VM, DSM always tries to boot from this new disk attached to the controller and as there is no OS on it it will ask to install new :-(. Somewhere else I found the information to not use the GUI but to use the cli to add the controller (like so: qm set 100 -hostpci0 01:00 instead of adding the controller with this ID 0000:01:00.0). This way the system boots and I can see some messages in dmesg regarding the controller as well as the disk attached to it. But the disk doesn't appear in storage manager :-(. I also tried to change the values for DiskIdxMap and SataPortMap - nothing changed regardless the values I used. Any idea how to solve this issue? Maybe some of you also had this issue and could give me some direction Thanks a lot in advance! Edit1: small update. I found the disk attached to the controller as an external disk (thus it isn't shown in storage manager). So the passthrough seems to be ok. I just need to figure out how to make this disk internal.
