  1. No it's not. It's an indication that the links are dead. That is it. All the rest is assumption on your side. OP might or might not answer, that's up to him but in no way does it indicate that people "here" are not modest. On the other hand, you being a noob to the forum then posting everywhere you can asking for threads to be deleted because some links are not working, that is definitely a lack of modesty. No one in here owes you anything. If you think there is a lack of professionalism then that's too bad for you. This forum is run by people who want to share and help, not who want to please others for the sake of being professional. The OP is not even a moderator. Not an excuse for what? It definitely is an excuse when you have a life, a job and most certainly things in life with much higher priority.
  2. So you are angry and making it known to everyone because links are not working and you just created an account 2 hours ago.... Interesting way of starting in the community. I would suggest some restraint and modesty. People do this on their free time and owe nothing to no one.
  3. I am not sure what NIC that machine has but you can try. You don't need a monitor. You connect to the installation using Synology Assistant to find he machine over the network once the bootloader has loaded then proceed to install DSM.
  4. Remember DSM is a server not a workstation. No much point in making the user interface all fancy and glorious. I doubt that Synology invests that much into it. They rather focus on functionality improvements.
  5. That is an extension for Chrome that turns the browser and thus DSM into a dark theme. It's not a DSM feature.
  6. I do not even see a theme selector anymore like there is on DSM 6. Perhaps it was removed from the Preview.
  7. So it does seem that the PAT files are actually publicly accessible now. I am merging this topic with a post that was made earlier by @ed_co with links to all DSM 7 Preview PAT files (see 2 posts above this one). NOTE to anyone trying to upgrade their DSM 6 installation to DSM 7 with Jun's loader. Please do us all a favor: DON'T, unless you are doing it for test purposes on a test installation for debugging purposes. Jun's loader will not work with DSM 7.
  8. Yes obviously, since you are within the normal working scope of DSM. To run VMM you need DSM though...
  9. And if this is not yet clear to everyone yet, DSM 7 is not even public. Only those who registered were allowed to download it. To that do note that this is a PREVIEW, not even a BETA. I have not looked at the PAT files myself yet but I am pretty sure the kernel has been upgraded enough so that any current loader can't work with it. In due time hopefully a developper will start working on the mechanics of a new loader.
  10. You are correct. It's a Preview. The reason for the change is that one of our moderators merged 2 threads and the title "DSM 7 Beta" was kept by default by the system. I have renamed the topic for accuracy. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
  11. Happens to all websites. Nothing extraordinary. Seen it with Microsoft, Apple and other big names. Hopefully get's solved quick. It was working for me 5 minutes ago though.
  12. Agreed. @Sephirius These files are not publicly available. Posting them publicly is probably exposing you and the forum. Anyone posting these filles will have its post removed.
  13. This is not a developers thread. I have moved it out to the Readers news.
  14. Ok everyone let's calm down. I am re-opening this thread because the question in OP was legitimate to start with. However should this go side ways I will permanently closed it. In the future, @Gerryatric if there is any problem please contact a moderator in PM. You have been given a warning due to the additional thread you created which was non-necessary and clearly broke the rules. For now I don't want to see anymore arguing here. Let's keep it straight to the point.
