Thank you very much IG-88 for your detailed description! Yes, it works really well. Running about 24 hours now. And yes, hardware acceleration works well under Plex. Should I test the Synology Videostation also?

Hello, I am very interested in the new DSM 6.2 loader by Jun. I read the posts in the Developer section but i must admit that i am not a great linux specialist. So i am not undestanding erverything. Just a simple question: Is it possible to run DSM 6.2 with Jun's new 1.03a2 loader , baremetal, on a DELL PowerEdge T30 with an Intel Xeon E3-1225 v5, 4x 3.30GHz? LAN is an Intel i219. Did you try to reinstall the package? For me it is working with 6.1.4. I'm on a Dell Poweredge T30 with Juns 1.02b for DS916+.

Updated Dell T30 Poweredge baremetal with Juns Loader V1.02b for DS916+ DSM 6.1.3-15152 update 8 to DSM 6.1.4-1527 from GUI without problems. System is running for two days now. Just had to reinstall one package: FileBot.

Updated Dell T30 Poweredge baremetal to DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 7 from GUI. Reboot required. No problems at all since two days.

I installed the Update on a HP MS Proliant G8 Baremetal running Juns Loader 1.02b for DS3617xs. No reboot required. Seems okay. (It's running about 30 mins only)

I also like to share my experience with the new bootloader: I'm running a HP Proliant MS Gen8 with Celeron-Processor and 3GB RAM, baremetal. I updated from Juns Loader 1.02a for DS3615xs running DSM 6.1 to Loader 1.02b for DS3617xs with DSM 6.1.2. I only changed Vid/Pid in the bootloader, MAC Adress and SN leaving untouched. I done a migration with this update. After 24 hours I ran into the "Timebomb-Issue". After that I made a clean, new install with the same settings. I had to reinstall DSM and my packages and everythings working great. I didn't lost any data, and the system is running for about one week without any issues

Worked for me without problems on barematal.

You should use the DS3615xs files instead, that worked for me. For DS3617xs you also need a different S/N and MAC.

Updated Gen8 baremetal to 6.1.1-15101 Update 2. Reboot required. Everything seems okay. All Packages and services are working.

Mal eine blöde Frage: Wie sieht es denn mit Sicherheitsupdates aus? Oder hängen Eure Kisten nicht am Router und haben Zugang zum Internet? Wenn man auf einer alten Version unterwegs ist weren die bekannten Updates ja auch nicht durchgeführt. Das ist genau der Grund warum ich auf DSM 6.1 upgedatet habe. Die neuen Funktionen sind mir nicht so wichtig, die Sicherheit schon.

I think you should read the forum carefully before you ask a question which is allready answered. Yes, it is possible to update to DSM 6.1 with Juns Alpha Loder. But its ALPHA, so its just for testing purposes.

Upgraded this morning To DSM 6.1-15047 Update 2. (Yes, i am brave;-) Everything seems To work till now.
