  1. Server Dell r510 12bay Server H200 LSI SAS (IT Mode) , Intel x520-da2 Nic Im setting up Redpill with dsm7 model ds3622, my Intel 10gb dualport nic was found and used during the TinyCore setup but is not found with normal boot or synology assistant The system worked without error on jun bootloader with dsm6 I have also tried to manually add this driver but still not found ./rploader.sh ext ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/ixgbe/rpext-index.json I have since swaped the Nic out for an Intel 1gb card and all works, confirming I just need the drivers for the 10gb nic Please advise which drivers to add so I can have the 10gb Intel x520-da2 card working again. Process for install using latest version : ./rploader.sh update (non found) ./rploader.sh identifyusb ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh satamap (also read this is not required for hba ? ) ./rploader.sh listmods ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962 ./rploader.sh ext ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/ixgbe/rpext-index.json ./rploader.sh build ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962 ./rploader.sh backup exitcheck.sh reboot
  2. I couldn't think of a place to put this. I screwed up, I wanted to test the 6.2beta, and installed it on the wrong server. I now can't get my semi-production server to boot Xpenology back up. Originally installed with ds3617xs on an Dell R510 LSI HBA 8i card (non RAID), install went well however on reboot the server gave "No Hard Disk found on DS3617xs." Synology Assistant says "Not Installed". Took out the USB reimaged with the appropriate Jun Loader, 1.02b. Didn't' work. Was suggested to try ds3615xs and that gave the same issue as before, but before it did that it gave me the option to "Migrate" which I clicked performed the DSM_23648.pat installation and again got "No Hard Disk found on DS3617xs". I currently have 30TB+ of data inaccessible. Which I can't afford backups for at this moment in time. Anyone with the brain power to get this to boot or force it into a downgrade to 6.1.x? Many Thanks,
  3. Hello, I am very interested in the new DSM 6.2 loader by Jun. I read the posts in the Developer section but i must admit that i am not a great linux specialist. So i am not undestanding erverything. Just a simple question: Is it possible to run DSM 6.2 with Jun's new 1.03a2 loader , baremetal, on a DELL PowerEdge T30 with an Intel Xeon E3-1225 v5, 4x 3.30GHz? LAN is an Intel i219. Thank you for your suggestions. Greetings, Sonnyboy
  4. Hi all, I have a great dell T20 running barebone xpenology with dsm 6.1 . I want to add flexibility to my configuration so I was wondering if someone can help me to understant if and how I can migrate from barebone to VM without losing data. I searched on the forum and I found only an old post from @berwhale Thank you in advance.
  5. I am running DSM6.2 using loader 1.03 on a Dell Optiplex 980 workstation. Since my upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2 I am experiencing high noise from a fan. It turns out that the noisy fan is the one from the graphics card - not the main system fan. The GC is also warm to touch, as if working hard. What's got a display-less server to do with the graphics card? This was not happening under 6.1. Anyway, I tried removing the GC, but then the machine doesn't boot at all. The onboard monitor output is not working - no matter with or without GC, regardless of any BIOS settings. At some point I've reconnected the monitor from onboard to GC output after boot and I saw a message saying something that processor is not capable of supporting on-board video. I am therefore stuck with noisy GC. Does anyone have any idea about possible solution to the noise problem?
  6. Hi All, Hope some one can help. I'm using a Dell Optiplex 380 with DSM 6.1 as i'm not able to upgrade to DSM 6.2 as no HDD Drive support as yet. i have a Astrotek AT-CPASA-1 IDE-SATA PCI 2xSATA 1xeSATA 1xIDE card with a 1tb HHD attached but Xpenology is not able to see the HDD. i'm sure it is a drive issue, but i hoping some one will be able to help with where i'm able to get the drivers from, but i do still have the cd that it come with and now to get it working with Xpenology? Regards
  7. I'm looking to purchase a 12-bay Dell R720XD Server with 2x Intel Xeon E5-2630 2.30GHz - 6 Core processors & 16GB RAM. it includes a H710. This system will primarily be my iSCSI data store for my VMware Cluster test lab. I want speeds around 2000 read/write or higher if possible. I plan on having: 8-10 drive sata SSD raid 0 array for my data store (may go with a raid 10) 2 drive raid 1 (backup target for my other xpenology system in case of catastrophic failure on that one) My Question(s): 1. Has anyone gotten this system to work without major issues? 2. Can I use the h710 or should I look into an adaptec 1000-8i (or 2) 3. is there another card that will achieve the speeds I'm looking for? - Ive currently got an LSI card in my other machine but I do not like how the drive ordering doesn't function properly. 4. Are these speeds possible on this machine? Synology has the new high end flash storage servers I hope to mimic that with this system.
  8. Hi everyone, Here I have Dell PowerEdge R415. I installed 4 HDDs in hard drive trays and 1 SSD in DVD caddy (taking original optical drive off). I booted it with Jun's loader, successfully installed DSM6.1.4 and built RAID 6 with 4 HDDs. At first, I hope to use SSD as cache. But DSM won't recognize SSD (5th drive) in DVD caddy. However, SSD's seen in BIOS. I logged into DSM's ssh console and checked dmesg. I found no messages related to fifth drive. Any suggestions? Related pictures are attached below. And dmesg log file is here: dmesg-log.txt Picture1 - SSD is connected through "SATA E" cable. Picture2 - SSD in DVD caddy Picture3 - The whole view of Dell PowerEdge R415
