pocopico Posted June 28, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2022 (edited) For people that want to test the DVA1622 (Geminilake). I have inlcuded that on latest development release of TCRP. - Updated extensions - Updated redpill-dtb-static - Updated geminilake static redpill module - Included the DVA1622 config on my redpill-lkm repo - I have tested that on a VM, installs and boots OK. - All geminilake extensions should work - Manual and automatic dts patching should work - Two disks currently supported. Unfortunatelly as i dont have time to test it on my geminilake PC, i would appreciate if someone could test it for me. The process would be : 1. Download latest development image from develop TCRP repo. https://github.com/pocopico/tinycore-redpill/blob/develop/tinycore-redpill.v0.9.0.2.img.gz?raw=true 2. Burn the image on a USB flash drive 3. Boot into TCRP 4. run ./rploader.sh update ./rploader.sh fullupgrade ./rploader.sh identifyusb ./rploader.sh serialgen DS920+ ./rploader.sh build dva1622_42661 5. reboot and install ** You need /dev/dri for the AI options to work, If AI is not available, look for "[error]Failed to open /dev/dri/card0" Edited June 28, 2022 by pocopico 2

pocopico Posted June 29, 2022 Author Share #9 Posted June 29, 2022 (edited) @Olegin @apriliars3 I have updated rploader serialgen to generate DVA1622 serials. You can now use ./rploader.sh serialgen DVA1622 it will enable 8 cam licenses. Edited June 29, 2022 by pocopico

Peter Suh Posted June 29, 2022 Share #12 Posted June 29, 2022 DVA1622 does not seem to support 7.0.1-42218 DSM. So JUN MODE also seems impossible.

Unfortunately, what I researched seems to be true. The DVA3221 is from 6.2 and the DVA1622 is not. I tried curl with the expected download path, but Only the empty shell was downloaded. curl --location "https://global.download.synology.com/download/DSM/release/7.0.1/42218/DSM_DVA1622_42218.pat" --output dva1622_42218.pat
pocopico Posted June 29, 2022 Author Share #15 Posted June 29, 2022 JoT or Jun mode or Jumkey mode is not limited to the 7.0.1 version. It’s just what Jumkey has created in his repo.

On DVAs and only where a display port is available (DVA1622) the display and the keybord/mouse are used for controlling the surveillance outputs. pocopico Posted June 29, 2022 Author Share #18 Posted June 29, 2022 The 1622 DTS file now supports up to 8 internal drives.

Its not just changing a value in one of the config files? I seem to recall seeing once a lines something about maxdisk=16, not sure if thats all theres too it. supporting 8 drives wont cut it for me unfortunately. pocopico Posted June 30, 2022 Author Share #20 Posted June 30, 2022 (edited) It’s the dts that needs to be edited in order to support more drives. It should word for 16 drives once you add them in the dts file Edited June 30, 2022 by pocopico
scfrancis Posted June 30, 2022 Share #21 Posted June 30, 2022 Hi there, I have just tested the installation of a DVA-1622, because with my current proxmox, I cannot install a DVA-3221 (cpu too old). Well, the VM starts perfectly, no more kernel panic! Only problem, no disc detected... An idea ? Hardware VM : fdisk -l : Error :
