htc2010 Posted September 7, 2015 #10 Posted September 7, 2015 Did any system services have to be manually restarted like with update 3? e.g., media server, ups service, re-mount volumes, etc etc etc? Quote

trdy73 Posted September 8, 2015 #12 Posted September 8, 2015 Installed this update today, and the system seemed to working 100%. But whene I tried to connect to Media Server (DLNA) or Video Server, there was no entries. The services was running, but it didn't show any content. Have tried to uninstall/install the services without any help. Anyone had this problem and managed to solve it ? Quote
trdy73 Posted September 8, 2015 #13 Posted September 8, 2015 Installed this update today, and all seemed to work 100% But when i tried to connect to DLNA (media server) and Video server these where working but there was no content. All the filed are present in the video folder. Anyone had similar problems? Found any solution? Seems like update 4 breaks Video Station and Media Server Quote
koroziv Posted September 8, 2015 #14 Posted September 8, 2015 Did you try to re-scan your media ? I don't use it so I can't try. Quote
brantje Posted September 8, 2015 #15 Posted September 8, 2015 Will we get a new version after Update 4? Or do we get an Update 5? Hoping to see btrfs soon on xpenology. Quote
andywhit Posted September 8, 2015 #16 Posted September 8, 2015 Installed this update today, and all seemed to work 100% But when i tried to connect to DLNA (media server) and Video server these where working but there was no content. All the filed are present in the video folder. Anyone had similar problems? Found any solution? Seems like update 4 breaks Video Station and Media Server Update 3 (and presumably Update 4 too as it's a rollup of all prior updates) resets all the DLNA media folder settings to defaults. I had to add back in my folders containing media to the Media Server/Video Station and then reindex. Quote
Roodbaard Posted September 8, 2015 #17 Posted September 8, 2015 I've installed the update succesfully through the DSM webinterface. Just a regular reboot and everything seems to be working. I was on update 3 and I'm running as a VM on ESXi 5.5 Quote
Jman420 Posted September 8, 2015 #18 Posted September 8, 2015 Just to confirm (although it seems you guys have figured this out already); 5592 Update 4 addresses only security fixes and includes no updates to DSM protection. It is safe to install using the current bootloader (5.2-5592.2). Quote
mindcrime Posted September 8, 2015 #19 Posted September 8, 2015 Flawless install from update 3. Running under ProxMox. Did reboot. Quote
andywhit Posted September 8, 2015 #20 Posted September 8, 2015 Easy update from update 3. All done using native DSM update process and working fine using a single reboot. All DLNA media folders etc still in place. Quote
kennethc2k Posted September 9, 2015 #21 Posted September 9, 2015 I have perform an update from 5.2-5592 to 5.2-5592 Update 4 directly and of cause using 5.2-5592-2 boot image/ After update to "Update 4", all the package show error and those icon at desktop is gone. I have shutdown the N54L and start it ( power up ) again then all the package show normal, no need to reinstall/repair it again, then add those icon to desktop again is okay. Quote
alfa009 Posted September 9, 2015 #22 Posted September 9, 2015 I performed the update to 5.2-5592 Update 4 without any problems on my ESXi. Reboot was required. Than after I run the Security Advisor and the following message was shown: "DSM system files have been unintentionally modified." Details: "The following files have been modified: /lib/modules/btrfs.ko, /usr/syno/bin/scemd, /usr/syno/synoman/webman/modules/DiskMessageHandler/touchVolumeRemap. Please contact the Synology support for futher assistance." Does anyone get the same message? Please just perform a run in the Security Advisor. Thx Quote
