seba Posted February 10, 2015 Author Share #101 Posted February 10, 2015 I am not able to figure out how to repackage the file and make it work. I replace the .ko files in the package than repackage the tgz. Recreate the SPK and it installs but will not start. It seems that it is grabbing information from another location. I can replace the .ko files with the new kernels though that were provided and it works perfectly fine. /shrug. I will break apart all the files tonight and try to figure it out. Also, i put together a fast blog to explain how to copy files over using SCP - It's a pain. http://rysnas.com/wordpress/ Seba could you be of help with this sir? Kernel modules are copied during installation from package to /lib/moduels/3.2.40/. That is done by script from scripts folder during install. dodo-dk Posted February 10, 2015 Share #102 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) Hi, i have found the problem with Bridged Network. I need to compile with the bromolow .config and not x86_64 .config. I compiled the Kernel new and now it works very good. Here you can download the Kernel Files: https://mega.co.nz/#!dcZHXQRZ!0IxvlxPe9 ... QlvaOWp8D0 Instructions: Install the SPK from Seba (first Thread). Go in the folder /usr/local/virtualbox/lib/modules/3.2.40/ an backup the 4 vbox...ko files. Replace this 4 Files with the new compiled and reboot your NAS. Then it should work. Testet with XPEnoboot 5.1-5022.2 / DSM 5.1-5022 Update 2 / X64 DS3615xs. If i have time and have the know how - would make a "fixed" spk. Dodo Edited February 10, 2015 by Guest
rthga81 Posted February 10, 2015 Share #103 Posted February 10, 2015 Seba, When I extracted the .spk file and than extract the package.tgz file. I found the directory with the KO files and replaced them. Repackaged using tar -cvf package.tgz * it created a new package.tgz file. Than I recompiled the .spk file using tar -cfv VBox.spk * I get the new SPK. I show the files move into the correct directory on the Synology but they don't work. When I do an SCP and overwrite the files and reboot the Diskstation they work correctly. Secondly; i'm sorry i am compiling the SPK to run on a DS153 and DS1515 not the VirtualBox I apologize for the confusion.

dodo-dk Posted February 12, 2015 Share #110 Posted February 12, 2015 Hi polly76, the DS1515+ have the Architecture "avoton", the Package is for the Architecture "bromolow". You can try to edit the SPK so you can install it, but i don´t know if it works. Open the SPK with WInRAR or 7Zip, edit the File "Info". Change the Line arch="bromolow" in arch="avoton" save the SPK and try to install it. Dodo

Lead Posted February 12, 2015 Share #112 Posted February 12, 2015 It looks like a permission Problem or phpVirtualBox. Do you use symlinks? My pleasure. Optware was installed on the machine and virtualbox do not follow the /opt -> /volume1/@optware symlink. After restoring the origin state the package runs very well. Thanks for your work.
