Hello, Im upgrading my xpenology build with new hardware/ My board is: https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/H370M-ITXac/index.asp#Specification ? It has 2 intel NICs. One is a Giga PHY Intel I219V and one is a GigaLAN Intel I211AT. I have tried jun's loader and also @IG-88's Custom extra.lzma ramdisk. However in both cases only one NIC comes online. Now i dont know if its the 1219V or the 1211AT. I have made sure my grub has mac and mac2 set. I also set the number of interfaces in grub to 2. So im assuming its a case of a missing driver?

First off, please note that double posting is not tolerated in the forum. There is no need to expose the same problem in several topics. I will allow only one post to remain active. Read the rules and guidelines. To start, I clearly mentioned in the tutorial to update DSM5.1 or below to DSM5.2 before updating to DSM6.1 MAC addresses are totally unrelated to NIC model/manufacturer. Two very different NICs in a board usually have MAC addresses that are in succession address wise as those are set (flashed) by the OEM. Is your board this one https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/H370M-ITXac/index.asp#Specification ? If so that board has 2 intel NICs but they are not the same model: 1 is a Giga PHY Intel I219V and 1 is a GigaLAN Intel I211AT. Not sure if the PHY one will work though although they should use the e1000e or igb modules. Have you tried using the custom extra.lzma ramdisk? You can try setting sataportmap if you have issues if not then no need. Read the tutorial thoroughly. Use the real addresses as suggested in the tutorial.

Hello. Is the network controller driver: Intel WG-I219V supported? I cannot find it in the list of supported drivers. If not, could you add support please?

Есть две машины одна на intel celeron G3900 (сетевая Realtek RTL8111H и Intel® I219V) , вторая на ASrock N3150 (сетевая Realtek RTL8111H). Вроде как оба процессора подходят, но 916 не запускается ( 3615 и 3617 запускается отлично). Первая после загрузки на Jun 1.02B не видна в сети. Вторая грузится и видна в сети, но пропадает из сети после установки 916 pat файла. Если сделать re-install, снова появляется в сети и требует миграции, после установки 916 pat файла (чистая установка или миграция) опять пропадает и так по кругу. Предполагаю, что нет всех дайверов сетевых в 916, как в 3615 или 3617. Izma файлы есть только для 3615. А жаль очень хотелось поиграться с 916.

Hi All. I can do clean install of 3615 - NAS visible at LAN, but can not install for 916 - NAS is not visible at LAN. I’m using loader 1.02b for both cases. Mother board with two NIC: 1) Intel I219V and 2) Realtek RTL8111H. That is some issues with NIC drivers. Any advice? Thanks.

Hello, I am looking to build my first Xpenology NAS. I've been reading about NAS and Xpenology for some time now, and I decided to build a NAS/Plex server for my home needs. I will be installing it on "bare metal". It will host a 2x 3TB WD Red HDDS(not RAID, the second one will be used only to backup the content of the main one once a week, and only the NAS will have access to it). About the plex I am not expecting more than one stream at a time(very very rarely 2), but not necessarily at 1080p. So I am thinking about this configuration: 1. Motherboard - ASUS H110I-PLUS D3( LAN: Realtek® RTL8111H) or perhaps - ASRock H110M-ITX/AC( LAN: Giga PHY Intel® I219V) - i read somewhere that it has a better performance than Realtek 2. CPU - Celeron G3900(2M Cache, 2.80 GHz) 1151 socket 3. Some 2-4 GB DDR3 Non ECC (the cheapest one) 4. 2x 3TB WD RED HDDs So I guess my questions are: 1. Is any of the motherboards supported on the Xpenology (LAN, SATA etc.) ? Or if it is not, but there's a workaround would still be good to know. 2. Is it possible to use the second HDD only as a backup to the main one and to deny any kind of access to it except for the NAS. 3. What kind of PSU should I use? Is 120W picoPCU okay, or should it more comfortable with a normal 300-400W standart PSU? P.S. I am thinking about building a custom case. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

I buy the ASRock H270M-ITX / AC and the rj45 "Intel® I219V" is compatible by the 2nd rj45 "Intel® I211V" on mine do not yet. On the second is a "Realtek RTL8111H" On the compatibility list we find the RTL8111, B, C, CP, D (L), F, G. I do not these if the 2nd rj45 will be compatible. The rest like wifi and bluetooth is of course not compatible for Xpenology.

у вас же две разные сетевые I219V и I211V подозреваю что I211V не заводится, и об этом лучше спросить у Kitaro и как он поднял I210 С новым загрузчиком все нормально завелось само. Но i210 пока не пробовал с 3617, сижу на 3615. Предлагаю объединить сетевки в BOND (1 пункт: Адаптивное распределение нагрузки) и в обе сетевки от роутера вставить пачкорды. Мне кажется она просто даже не воткнута в роутер. Ой,а помогите плз настроить,уже задолбался переставлять dsm:( Я ставил ту сборку,которую комрады рекомендовали, как наиболее стабильную - 3615xs 1.02alpha Во вторую сетевуху, конечно, ничего не втыкал (кто ж знал-то! ) Значит что нужно сделать? - воткнуть еще один патчкорд из роутера во вторую сетевуху? - в DSM (или где? Найти пункт меню "адаптивное распределение" и выбрать где-ьо там BOND? Ничего при этом переустанавливать не надо (загрузчик/DSM/qconnect/Настройки роутера)? И попутно - чем плохо если я зафиксировал ip наса в роутере? Просто, чтобы войти в веб-морду нужно же адрес указывать, а после манипуляций и перезагрузки он снова меняется, закладки уже не работают Мелочь,конечно,но решил все же уточнить. I'm not sure - I don't use encryption, and I don't see how it would benefit home use at all. Unless you store some very sensitive data. ECC is good for servers where lots of data is in RAM. But since it's home use, no need for it. That case, however, is an overkill in my opinion. It can house a full mATX board... There are some mITX cases with a lot smaller footprint, that can hold up to 8 disks - look around at Silverstone's cases, a bit pricier but they usually even have a SATA backplane, so less cabling! You can also go with Bitfenix cases, the Colossus is perfect (5+1 internal 3.5" HDDs, and with a 5.25" to 4x 2.5", you can add 4 more 2.5" disks) for this role. Synology's DSM is simply Linux, with some small modifications, and a web UI. Nothing more. It can use all four threads no matter what. And yes, the G4560 is a bit lower power than the linked Xeon, but it also eats less power (I'm measuring around 25W with 2x 2.5" 1TB disks and the motherboard!), and is in general better with power usage. For motherboard, well, prices are going up a bit. You can find the B250I PRO (not the gaming version!) for around 80$. Wifi can come handy, as a secondary network connection (syno can bind the networks together and use both to provide even better bandwidth). That RAM choice is good though. And for PSU... Go for a bigger brand, and you shouldn't care much about modularity. It's a NAS, you put it together once, then use it as-is. Especially if you choose a case that has a SATA backplane. 300-350W is more than enough, my config is yet to go over 150W with 6 disks in total. Hi Again m8. I was thinking about encryption just for safety in case of theft or anything.. Like for all personal stuff like pictures and etc... But I dont know maybe its not that important but probably will work fine with a simple CPU like the one I showed, and a ssd cache (dont know if its better to use it for write or for read then..?`) I will look around for more chassi cases.. from my research it was the smallest one that can actually house many 3.5" units. But I will look at your alternatives also! The G460 cpu if I understand you correct was less power then the one used in for example 1815+ ? In that case what CPU would match it better? I dont mind a few bucks more on the CPU department to not have a bottleneck in power.. Can XPEnology link wifi and wired connection together for higher speeds? That sounds crazy... I did however see some motherboards that had two wired ethernet connections like for example: Gigabyte H270N WiFi I dont know if both can be used simultaneously though . It says one is Intel I219V and other is Intel I211 if I understand it correctly.. How much difference would it make to choose this in that case and use both ethernets for maximum speed..?`earther then just one gbit network connection..? PSU I thought modularity cus these cases generally seem so small so maybe hard to do the cablemanagement with bunch if leftover cables.. Thanks!

Всем привет. Хочу взять материнку на B250M (например ASRock B250M-HDV) и Celeron 3930 (Kaby Lake). Сеть Intel I219V. DSM 5.2 заработает? Или взять материнку на H110M или B150M? Диск WD Red уже есть.

Но вопрос о железе, точнее: заведется ли беспроблемно, материнка ASUS H110M-A/M.2 с сетевухой Intel I219V? (может кто уже пробовал) И хватит ли указанного выше комплекта для вэб-сервера? На хостингах, как правило предлагается такая конф-ция: CPU Two cores RAM - 6 GB Disk storage 500 GB SSD Чем мой вариант будет хуже хостинга? Если сейчас сайт работает почти так же, как на хостинге - со слов сайтостроителей с их форума.

Спасибо, о хостинге почитал. Но пока хочу все же свой вэб-сервер, дальше буду посмотреть. (пока все устраивает: и меня, и Гугл с Яндексом) Комплект выходит в 325 долларов с диском SSD (корпус с БП остался от сборки на D2700MUD, которая сдохла). Присмотрел материнку на Intel I219V - вроде в списке совместимых, в отличие от RTL8111H, ну и остальное определилось, SSD из совместимых Сино: 1. Материнка ASUS H110M-A/M.2 https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110M ... fications/ 2. Процессор INTEL S1151 Core i3-6100 (2 ядра 3.7GHz, 3Mb, Skylake, Intel HD Graphics 530, 14nm, 47W) 3. Или лучше рассмотреть такие варианты материнки: MSI H110M ECO или AsRock H110M-ITX - они обе с сетевой Intel I219V ?

Hi all. Has anyone good work motherboard with integrated Realtek RTL8111H? In my signature server on P8Z68VLX with integrated Realtek RTL8111E it works great. ASUS H110 will also work well Realtek RTL8111H? For example like this: ASUS H110M-CS/C/SI But I do not see in the list of compatible RTL8111H. Thanks. P.S. Or is it better to consider such variants: MSI H110M ECO or AsRock H110M-ITX - they are both with Intel I219V ?

Same here ! Only one works. If i use the mac of the realtek lan, the realtek works. If i use the mac of the intel lan, the intel work. They work only as one, not both of them work. I have a GA-H170N-WIFI but only 1 LAN is working. Intel I219V chip and the other one controlled by an Intel I211AT chip. in DSM network shown I have 2 LAN. but actually 1 is not working. Anything I can troubleshoot here?

Quel est votre carte reseau? A tous, avez vous utilisé le loader de Arcao ou celui de Setsunakawa? Si vous avez utilisé celui de Setsunakawa je conseil de re-essayer avec celui de Arcao qui contient plus de modules et donc qui couvre une plus large gamme de HW. Sauvegarder votre fichier grub.cfg quelque part comme ca vous pourrez copier/coller le fichier sur la clef usb si vous la refaite. J'ai bien choisi celui de Arcao De ce que je peux trouver sur internet à propos de ma carte mère il semble que c'est un chipset Intel i219V
