  1. Updated from 6.0.1 up8 to 6.1.3 on esxi, 100%, no problem, everything is working as espected. just one small detail now on dsm the boot disk (synoboot.vmdk + synoboot.img), shows as disk on dsm, is thare any way to hide this?
  2. Yesterday i passed my baremetal setup to esxi. On esxi, just created one machine with the same loader as baremetal. Added one virtual disc just to finish setup, same sn, same mac. Pluged in one disc with 2tb from baremetal configured as rdm, boot machine and all dsm setud was exacly like on baremetal( only volume degraded because bm as 2 discs on raid 1). All data, all package and setup was working as on bm. Today im going to plugin the second disc to fix volume and raid inside dsm. This was done on esxi6.
  3. its possible to pass only one disk? are you sure, i think you have to pass all controler. the only way to pass disks independent is Raw Device Mapping, that way you chose disks individualy, but this is not passthrough.
  4. I have done that with success, no errors, but using the same way to cross compile drivers for tbs dvb, it only builds .o files and not .ko. Do you know if thare is another step missing to cross compile other mpdules?
  5. i folowed this tuturial and everithing went fine, but is it possible to crosscompile this way? a need to compile drivers for a tbs card.
  6. well cant help much on that, because open source drivers dont return snr value, at least on time that i compiled. maybe in a few days i can compile the latest version of tbs open source drivers for dsm5.2. dont promise
  7. if someone can help, i know its an old question, answerd many times, but i was crosscompiling dvb drivers and saw that in make menuconfig you can configure the number of cpus you want, by default is 8 but, does any one tested if its possible to select more? i can put more cpus there and save and gives me no error, but doesent know if its possible to make one loader that suports more cpus.

  12. i was digging and this cpu 2400s suports Intel® Quick Sync Video, where did you get that info? i think a cant use-it because ffmpeg requires Linux kernel patches for libmfx. i have 3 versions of ffmpeg instaled on my syno, one original from syno, one from tvheadend, and one from ffmpeg package from syno repo. i use ffpmeg to segment files and stream live tv, using hls, and works flawless, but obviously the cpu usage is high.
