Hi mate, no offense, but search on Google "serial change Mac xpenology" I'm currently writing from a mobile phone so I can't give you the exact link but you'll find the exact result in the first 3 Google search results Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mate, it might be that you have no bios update available for download which is well... A bit obvious for a newer MoBo, but you should try changing the bios settings. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if it's fake, but definitively it's not working to send money via PayPal and I know this since some time already.

No, it will not work MAC can be changed in xpenology by following some of the guides here: https://www.google.ro/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#safe=off&q=xpenology%20change%20mac

I say not to expect too much from a "one HDD" system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nope. That's only available on physical only Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Constant 40-60MBps on a single RED is pretty good. If you want more speed, beef in more HDDs and create a SHR matrix. For example, I have 4x 3TB HDDs(details in signature) and my copy speeds are 115-120MBps. Constant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am using the latest nanoboot with HyperV and I am also happily using this too: IO Crest 2 Port SATA III PCI-Express x1 Card (SY-PEX40039) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005B0A6ZS/re ... Rub12ZM5HT Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tried to insert a mSATA SSD there but it didn't worked due to the capacitors. Then I did a bit of reading and found out that only an mSATA half-size SSD fits there. I ordered http://www.ebay.com/itm/380855605872?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT from ebay and waiting to be delivered. It should do just fine!

Then you need Passthrough/RDM
-
Hi mate, RDM is doing a passthrough on the disks to the DSM (as Virtual Machine) The advantage is that you can take the HDDs and move them to another system (Hypervisor or physical) and you will have the same data and everything (with little effort) will be the same. The disadvantage is that SMART will be managed by the Hypervisor and not by DSM.

Yes. Set them in Offline mode in the 2012 R2 Disk Manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Go for Server 2012 R2+HyperV role
-
I used the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 ServerHyperCore for HyperV my installation and thought that a GUI might help more, so then I added the Server 2012 R2 GUI with PowerShell. So basically, now I have a 2012 R2 server with HyperV role installed. I have some extensive knowledge with lots of hipervisors, due to the nature of my job, and ESX was not working when I ordered this MB(even now isn't working natively) so I was left to chose from HyperV and XenServer. Due to personal reasons, I went forward with HyperV.

I bought a SSD for storing the HV OS + the VM data and it costed me peanuts. Do the same and you won't regret it. USB (even 3.0) is slow in comparison to a SSD

The latest I have and is generally available under xpenology is DSM 5.0-4528 Update 2
