Hi Everyone! I'm sorry for creating this thread but after reading some topics I've found that somebody has any troubles with installing XPenology on Proxmox. This also concerns me - I have a trouble with 6.2 on my Microserver Gen 8 with Proxmox on it - no network devices. So, after some attempts I have a success with 6.2 DSM with 3615xs and 3617xs only with 6.2_23739 with manual Installation. After fresh install I make a full backup, so this can be used as template. There are 6.1 and 6.2 of DSM version. So, You just need to copy this backup to Your Backup Directory in Proxmox and Restore it. 3615xs and 3617xs has successfully tested on HP MicroServer Gen 8 / Proxmox 5.3.5 | 5.3.6! DS918 was successfully installed on SuperMicro SYS-1029P-WT with Intel Xeon Silver 4110. I've decided to publish it to for everybody too. Download Link --------------->>>>> MEGA.CO.NZ There are some several important points: TWO Network Interfaces. First NIC is disabled. It has been done because for DSM first device must be with suitable MAC which is fixed in Grub. If You need multiple instance of DSM (as me) - it's costly to mofidy everytime Grub. So Second NIC uses any MAC address from Proxmox. TWO Disk Drives. Firsk disk - is bootable disk made by Jun! Don't try to use is as Storage. (maybe it's painfully, I haven't checked). Second Drive - it's a System Drive where was DSM has already installed. Second drive capacity - 6 GB! For me it's suitable - I use free capacity 1.3 GB only for Software and another drive for everything. If You need more for System Drive - Just Resize Disk before first start/initialization. I have tested that there is no errors after resizing before first initialization. Boot Drive - Sata0.

Hello, Si un jour il vous arrive que sans prévenir, après un arrêt du N54L, il ne démarre plus Synology et que pourtant il boot bien sur la clé USB... Vérifiez les paramètres du BIOS... et si par hasard ils ont sauté... (C1E a nouveau actif, carte réseau interne etc...) C'est que la pile RTC CR2022 est morte... Par chance j'en avais une sous la main et je l'ai remplacé tout de suite... Cela vient de m'arriver, j'ai failli formater la clé avant d'avoir l'idée d'aller vérifier les paramètres BIOS... Voilà, ça peut toujours servir à d'autres...

VMXNET3 working only with CPU IOMMU disabled (VMware CPU option) Hello all, For everyone that is interested in using 10GB VMXNET3 network adapter - must be in addition to an Intel E1000E because you will not be able to install/update For example, my setup consists of one E1000E - used for normal access of Synology services and 2 VMXNET3 NIC's used for iSCSI/NFS access to my ESXi hosts. I have a 2 port 10GB physical NIC on the ESXi. You can use perfectly fine VMXNET3, even with DirectPath I/O checked, as long as you DON'T enable CPU IOMMU - this took a while to figure out and I hope this will help someone in a similar scenario Please post this information where is best suited.

@Hornor Заведите за правило создавать учетки для самбы одинаковые (логин и пароль) в винде и в хрени, и будет вам счастье. Ну, а если не винда, то NFS юзайте.

Попробуйте такие действия: 1) Идем Панель управления\Учетные записи пользователей\Диспетчер учетных данных\Учетные данные Windows Жмём Добавить общие учетные данные и вводим netbios Name хрени и логин+пароль, и для верности тоже самое но уже с IP 2) На компе завести учетку совпадающую с именем учетки на NAS и точно такой же пароль для учетки и тогда Windows не будет спрашивать данные входа. Если же данные поменять на NAS то винда выдаст знакомое Вам окно
