Drivers requests for DSM 5.2

Recommended Posts

Hi, Thanks for the great work.

XPEnology DS3612xs DSM 4.3 build 3810++ (repack v1.0) works great, but it's not picking up my LSI RAID cards 9211, this worked in XPEnology DS3612xs DSM 4.2 build 3211++ (repack v1.2). Can these drivers be added please?

Also as I understand it, in the DSM 4.2 build 3211++, it picks up the mpt2sas drivers to late in the boot process, so it have to repair the system partition on the drives attached to LSI RAID cards 9211 every reboot. Is it possible to fixed this?

Again thank you.

Hi Trantor, can't thank you everyone enough for all of your hard work.

I would love to be able to use my Intel SS4200-e NAS appliance with this, everything works just fine except the PATA port (which i really need to boot from) to keep my four sata ports available for data.

It uses an Intel 945GZ chipset with the ICH7-R controller..

I tested this with Ubuntu 12.04 64bit iso and was able to install and boot off of the pata port as long as the "pata_legacy" module is available and loaded at boot.

If I could get that pata_legacy.ko module included, that would be awesome. Thanks again.

Hi not sure if this is the correct place or not, but would it be possible to integrate the power button handler for the HP Microservers as discussed in this thread: Power off from the buttom(sic). Although what is discussed there works, the implementation uses a complete rebuild of busybox, renamed as the kind contributor that did it didn't want to risk messing anything else up in the busybox pack. If it was integrated then this shouldn't be an issue? - Thanks again

Strange because arcmsr driver is built-in the kernel

one major issue, when you log in to the server via web browser it write on the center low area of the screen XPEnology 4.3 with a ugly font, the synology sign is much better ha ha ha

Why not make a topic with some poll for XPEnology logo ?

Hi Trantor,

Thanks for all your work and dedication!

Could you please include the following driver in the next release? I tried loading the newest build without luck. (XPEnology_DS3612xs_3810-repack-trantor-v1.0)

Highpoint Rocketraid 2720SGL

http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA_new/C ... ation.html

I believe this is the correct driver:

Thanks!

Build latest (v17) mpt2sas driver as module, load it, DSM can now detect drives attached to my 9211-4i.

For the repair issue at every boot, I will try to build xpenology based on RS10613xs+ which officially support SAS.

Hi Trantor, Thanks for the great work.

Please add usb cdc acm kernel module, this default module in linux kernel.

and please add support lcd4lixux(crosscompile this software http://ssl.bulix.org/projects/lcd4linux/) (usb2com and ftdi drivers).

thanks.

Sure Trantor will do it. Meanwhile, if you can't wait, you could insmod these USB to serial modules.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ie5ptu7lwbld8lo/USB_to_serial_DSM_4.3_bromolow.tgz

I compiled them and work for me.

Just insmod them. (insmod /lib/modules/cdc-acm)

This is an updated synoobot file which include several fixes.

Copy *.ko files to /lib/modules

New version available : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1361&p=8887#p8887

Known issues:
