Hi Lads

have 2 pcs dell 7020 and 3040

have Quadro P1000, P2000 and GTX1650 4GB DDR5

All Redpill and arpl loaders work fine, and booting without issues, except DVA3219 and DVA3221 with is stuckt booting after ip displayed.

Any advice\solution?

Hi.

I have a dell 3050 and boot stuckt on ip too.

The way I used to work around the problem was installing ESXI.
But with that, there is an error in the ARPL, it does not format the HD.
To fix this, just look on the ARPL github and there they show you how to fix this.

Hello everyone is it possible to use the face recognition and the other deep learning features using the integrated GPU of my intel i7-10700K? When I try to enable it, doesn't work.

I'm using proxmox and I'm struggling from days trying to have it working but without no luck...

DVA3221 is for dedicated Nvidia GPU only.

For igpu look at DVA1622 thread. But no one made it work with 10th gen.

Hi everyone,

i have just installed DVA3221 on ESXi with ARPL. Everything is fine but the DSM doesn't recognise my GTX 1650. I have activated passthrough and included in the virtual machine. What should i do to get it recognised ?

it looks like the passthrought is ok as "sudo lspci -nnv" shows this:

If yours GTX 1650 have GDDR6, not work because is more new than Nvidia driver on synology.

I have de same issue.

Here is what nvidia-smi give :

Unable to determine the device handle for GPU 0000:03:00.0: Unknown Error

And that's all.

I have also tried to add that parameter hypervisor.cpuid.v0=FALSE in the advanced option of the VM but it slowing down everything and doesn't activate the card...

i confirm that it's GDDR5

Your passthrough may not work as intented.

On proxmox you would follow the following steps :

https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/PCI_Passthrough#GPU_Passthrough

Is everything correctly blacklisted on proxmox host ?

Did you configure correctly your proxmox grub kernel command line ?

Did you confirmed the IOMMU are OK and the GPU has its own IOMMU number ?

On ESXi, I can't tell, I don't have it anymore, and never tried to GPU passthrough.

Edit :

Did you look at your device name ?

Mine is :

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation TU117 [GeForce GTX 1650] [10de:1f82] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

        Memory at 7010000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=32M]

Edit 2 :

Is your Guest BIOS configured as UEFI ?

Good luck.

When you see pciids seems hardcoded in SS on DVA1622... (ie even with 10th gen addon SS still KO)

Good luck to compile driver, backport update Nvidia runtime library package just to make nvidia-smi works..

To finally probably realize same as DVA1622, pciids are hardcoded in SS and you can't do anything of your work...

can anyone corroborate the quadro m2000 working as intended? seems to be the best bang-for-your-buck card out of the lineup

planning on passing the m2000 through to a dva3221, igpu to a dva1622, and a hba to a truenas vm for storage in a little fractal node 302

will have about 12 cameras in total, hopefully this works out

Firstly, thanks to everyone who contributed to the loader. When I used a GTX1650 with DDR5 it was plug and play after that.

For me the increased power draw was 30-100W with the GPU. This was with a UPS which is around 80% efficient at its currently load. Even so, its a bit too much power for me. I'm going to try frigate with a coral TPU if I can get my hands on one and see how that compares.

I do this already and the Coral is crazy fast, pretty accurate (not perfect) and stopped me chasing the DVA3221 with a big hot gpu.  Some use Frigate NVR on its own and its not bad at all.  However, you can use both Frigate and DSM SS, which I do.   The basic setup is this - have your existing DSM SS doing recording, possibly 24/7 although I do use my cameras' smart motion events for tripwire and zone intrusion.  In parallel, I have frigate running on the cameras sub streams with a usb Coral doing object detection.  This sends MQTT events on detections.  I catch these with Node Red and convert to various DSM Action Rules (web hooks), which add bookmarks/trigger notification.  So now my timeline shows not just camera motion events, but frigate AI detections too.   I do more than this but that's the basic idea - the AI processing is offloaded to a Coral which takes about 10ms for inferences.  Most people probably use Frigate NVR on its own or with Home Assistant, but I was already invested in DSM SS and like the product and they can run in parallel.

I suggest you create a dedicated topic if you want to discuss about Coral/Frigate... it is not related to the loader.

If your only goal is to have a NVR, then yes, maybe Synology is not the best for your needs.

Synology "NVR" is not just a NVR, but a real NAS with NVR dedicated functions...

The original DVA3221 has 4 bay disk available, raid1/5/etc... with all Synology ecosystem (drive, cloud, photos, etc...) with its GTX1650.

If your main concern is the power consumsion and you don't care about storage / ecosystem... etc... I think Synology is not for you.

Hi All!

I used 3622xs+ image, but today tried DVA3221, migrate my HDD, and all ok, works good, my only one IP camera works good without any nvidia card, i have az itx system, Asrock H470M and i3-10100 CPU.

So, must i buy a real GTX 1650 card, or can use a GTX 1660? What's the advance, is i wil lput one 1650 card to slot? Can i use hdmi output on a TV?

Thanks!

for 1660 you have to try yourself...

regarding HDMI, no it won't work with DVA3221.

HDMI only works with DVA1622 using intel integrated GPU / iGPU HD600~HD630

Tried, it works, at the informations panel visible a GTX 1660, RAM size, GPU and RAM speed. What advance can i get, if i use a DVA3221 instead DVA1621? At this moment i want to use only one CAM.

AI functions on more than 2 cam.

Finally stay at DV3221, but don't use VGA card, because don't use any AI functions. I3-10100 works good  3 days ago.
