Do not use 5644, more info on: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9578 If same software in different hardware works (or gives the same error) the same way, the problem is in the software. As this version is faulty I recommend use another version.

Hola Ante todo decirte que yo no lo he probado.... Te falla por el router, seguro. Según wikipedia has de abrir el puerto 7 i/o 9 UDP en el router. Lo malo es: - No todas las tarjetas soportan WOL desde WAN - No todos los routers aceptan dejar pasar lo paquetes de WOL - Al enviarse paquete por MAC en vez de IP no se muy bien como llegaría al ordenador destino.... La solución seria montar una VPN, para que así aunque estés fuera de casa/oficina, realmente están en la misma LAN así puedes enviar los paquetes correctamente. No es una solución para novatos, te recomiendo encarecidamente leerte el articulo de la wikipedia que he puesto mas abajo, si te suena a chino casi que te diría que te olvidases del asunto.... that's the settings I was using till this morning, and you can confirm too that there is no problem to connect USB3 hard drive and that the HD is well recognized by the system ? Xpenology or other like Windows ? Sorry to insist on that specific point ...anyway will contact the shop this afternoon Edit : I just called them, they agree to ship me another one on monday or tuesday, I have to send back the other in a delay of 2 weeks starting today. So wait and see... No problem at all, connected 2 different usb3 hdd and one pendrive, with no errors working at full speed

Hi In reply to Stof77: The motherboard came with 1.40 BIOS or you upgraded it? I can't remember exactly the option but i would try to set defaults in BIOS: 0.- Set defaults in BIOS 1.- Try again after rebooting. 2.- Enter BIOS and check and recheck USB options. Reboot and try 3.- Install Windows (drivers too) and check (You can install linux too, but to test usb3 and wol I would recommend windows 7 or above) 3.- If this doesn't work try to reflash 1.40 (if you are at this point for a second time jump to 5) 4.- reboot and jump to point 0. 5.- Send your motherboard to RMA If your problem is solved please post your solution, It can help other people....

Hola Durante la instalación te pregunta si quieres crear una cuenta synology para utilizar quickconnect y demás cosas propias de synology, si lo activas a la hora de bajar apps comprueba el numero de serie y la MAC de la tarjeta de red y como no son de las suyas pues no te deja instalar apps. En cambio si omites los pasos durante la instalación te dejara instalar las apps sin problema. Otra opción es editar los archivos del usb para generar una MAC compatible, pero en mi caso no te puedo ayudar....

Hola Creo q no es posible hacer lo que tu quieres, el usb es arranque y poco mas. Lo único que se me ocurre es instalarlo en un hdd vacío, y los dos que no quieres formatear conectarlos por usb a DSM

Hola Cuando dices todo ok, te refieres que desde la red interna funciona ok? Si es así, tienes que averiguar que puertos utiliza owncloud (en la web de synology hay una lista de puertos) y abrirlos en tu router y firewalls que tengas....

Hola Ya se que no es lo que preguntas, pero hay una opción que a lo mejor también te interesa... Instalas DSM directamente con el usb y el disco de 2TB. Una vez dentro de DSM instalas php-virtualbox y añades un segundo volumen con el hdd de 320gb

Hola Ahora mismo tienes : 1.- un usb para el arranque de esxi 2.- un hdd de 320gb para VM's 3.- un hdd de 2TB para synology Si tu pregunta es si hacer el raid desde ESXI o desde DSM, yo elegiría la segunda.... Si es la primera, navega por el foro en ingles, hay muchísima información sobre ESXI y sobre los servidores de HP Lo suyo es dejar que DSM haga el mismo el RAID, que aunque sea por software es el suyo, aunque eso ya va por gustos. Por defecto crea el SHR, que es un raid híbrido de synology. Si vas a añadir hdd en el futuro esa es la opción que yo elegiría. Una cosa a tener en cuenta, es que si llenas el hdd de 2TB y añades un segundo solo haras un raid espejo, vamos que estará varios días replicando datos pero el tamaño resultante sera el mismo..... Espero haberte ayudado y no añadir mas dudas

De todas maneras un RAID montado con 4hdd, dos con con sata 2 y dos con sata 3 via red, no creo q haya mucha diferencia q los 4 en sata3 si no me equivoco la red a 1000mbits son 100mbytes, así que daria a unos 25mbytes por disco duro. En principio sata2 tendría q llegar a esa velocidad..... A ver si me explico mejor (y corregidme si me equivoco). La tarjeta de red es de 1Gb. El SATA2 son 3Gb (300Mb/s) y el SATA3 son 6Gb (600Mb/s) Si multiplicamos la velocidad del sata2 por 4 nos sale 12Gb/s, mas de diez veces superior a la velocidad de la red, así que para un NAS te da igual q sea sata2 o sata3 Para mas info: he puesto "sata 2 vs sata 3" en google y me he quedado con esta explicacion: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detai ... d-sata-iii El tema de las velocidades es relativo, tiene muchas variables, por ejemplo: protocolo utilizado, tipo de cables, hub/switch, calidad disco duro, latencias, etc.... PD. No es lo mismo GB que Gb, MB que Mb (Bytes y Bites) En principio 1Byte son 8 bits, pero últimamente se toman como 10, por eso un hdd de 1 TB es de 1000GB y no de 1024GB.

Hola Yo me monte un par de NAS con la q1900 y te puedo dar un par de consejos o aspectos a tener en cuenta: Tiene dos sata3 y dos sata2. El nas principal lo tengo con tres hdd de 3GB y la verdad es que va muy bien. Le anulé la red de la placa, realtek, y me compre una INTEL. La hice pq con determinados ficheros o con Time Machine, se colgaba el NAS. Al poner la red extra perdi la opcion de poner una tarjeta RAID y tener >4 hdds. Hay un puerto mini pci-e, como el de los wifi de los portatiles. No lo he probado, pero segun he leido en foros extranjeros, si le pones un m-ssd pierdes un sata. Al parecer con las ultimas versiones de xpenology han solucionado el problema de las realtek, el segundo NAS lo tengo con la realtek y de momento va bien, pero este solo lo tengo con un hdd y apenas lo uso (solo download station, nada de plex, time machine, etc) Respecto a las cajas, bueno eso ya depende de cada uno. Yo el principal lo tengo en una caja normal con una mini fuente de un barebone Aopen que me cedieron, es una fuente normal pero un poco mas pequeña. El secundario lo tengo dentro de un shuttle q llevaba en su dia un Pentium 4. Mi recomendacion: Si vas a por 4 hdds con opcion a un 5 me pillaria una caja de las normales (mid-tower) de aluminio. Asi puedes tener los hdds un pelin separados para una mejor refrigeracion y poner ventiladores silenciosos por dentro la caja. Si el dinero no es problema, me pillaria fuente de alimentacion pasiva. Asi tendrias un equipo q apenas generaria ruido. Para finalizar, si me tuviera que hacer un nas y el dinero no fuera problema, iria a por una placa grande, con varios sata, de 4-8 (no recuerdo donde lo vi, pero creo q vi una asus con 20 SATA) con un i3 de ultima generacion y 4GB RAM. Esta placa llevaria varias lineas pci-e y asi las posibilidades de expansion se multiplican.... La caja depende de donde la tuviera q montar, si es a la vista pues una bonita, si va a ir debajo de una mes o escondida, pues la mas barata. Personalmente prefiero gastarme 300€ en placa+cpu+ram y 40€ en la caja que 150€ y 150€, teniendo en cuenta la funcionalidad de este equipo y que apenas se calienta

Hi, I tested almost 2 months with 4528, and the errors where the same. Now I installed win7 on this mobo and it works almost at 100%, sometimes the image flicks, so I'm gonna send it back to Amazon hoping they replace this mobo as I think is faulty.

To nickjames: synology freezes, not my win7, osx yosemite.... Trying to install a new xpenology, but my lan stops working when nanoboot starts loading modules, i don't know what more to do. Hi I started this new thread because in the main Q1900 thread there is too much different info about this mobo, and I only want to focus on this error The system freezes when copying data to/from xpenology. Sometimes after a large amount of data ~40-50GB sometimes after only copying only a few MB (350MB, for example Vmware esxi 6 iso). As I have 2 mobos, I installed bare metal xpenology in one and in the other one I tried with no success installing: - Xenserver 6.5 - Vmware esxi 6 beta (from VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0-2159203.x86_64.iso) - Opensuse 13.2 (well I succeded, but no lan) After I installed opensuse and found that no lan was working I searched and found this https://unixblogger.wordpress.com/2011/10/18/the-pain-of-an-realtek-rtl8111rtl8168-ethernet-card/ and after try the solution opensuse works ok, at least for now. I suppose that's it's only a problem of drivers, but it seems that nobody with this mobo using xpenology have this lan error, I don't know what to think. I would like to compile the drivers and add them to the usb boot but I don't know how to do it. I tried searching in the forum but I don't find any information that is suitable for me, again, too much information mixed with errors on threads. I'm not asking information for install xenserver nor vmware or hyper-v, so please don't post information about this. I would like to maintain this thread as clean as possible. I only wanna know if this error is only happening to me, even that I have 2 mobos, or someone else is having it too, and if it's possible to add drivers to solve this issue. Hi I've built my xpenology on: ASRock Q1900-ITX, BIOS 1.40 1x SODIMM 4GB RAM 2x 2TB HDD (third 2TB hdd is coming) DSM 5.0-4493 The best is that I already had a case, power supply & hdd's so the cost of building this machine was under 150€. I use at home for downloads and media vault and it goes awesome well comparing it to my 110j Future plans to this machine: Install esxi server 6 on a msata, and run DSM and also clearos or something similar to increase security, put a firewall on my lan, etc. But maybe I'll wait a little and buy a new machine and test different configurations on it, right now the system runs so well i don't wanna touch it.
