Pues a mi me paso algo distinto, directamente no funcionaba. Tiene pinta de problemas de drivers de red. Cuidado con la update 2, a mucha gente no le va bien (aunque a otros si...)

Hola No pones que micro lleva tu micro server, pero comparado con el del synology (tienes una version J, que significa que es de los lentos) tendría q volar en comparación. Yo comprobaria: 1.- Que la red vaya a 1000 y no a 100. 2.- Otra cosa a mirar es la aplicación fotos en si. No la he utilizado, pero creo recordar que para que fuera rápida, se tenían que subir al nas las fotos desde la aplicación para pc de fotos, así es tu ordenador y no el synology el que hace las miniaturas y acelera el proceso. Puede que hayas subido muchas fotos a la vez y que el NAS este ocupado indexando y haciendo miniaturas. 3.- Tipo de RAID. Si haces RAID 1,espejo, la velocidad del disco duro no superará los 50mbs (aproximadamente). Si este fuera el caso piensa que si también esta indexando y haciendo miniaturas esta velocidad se vería afectada. Si haces RAID 0 la velocidad seria de unos 90mbs pero no tendrías tolerancia a errores. Llevo un tiempo con Xpenology y creo que es lo suficiente estable para tener una copia de seguridad de tus fotos, pero cuanto valen tus fotos para ti? En mi caso mínimo 3 discos duros (tengo 4 puestos). En cambio mi hermano que tiene tres crios y montones de fotos y videos, un synology oficial de 4 bahías con tres discos y copia offsite en la nube. Lo que yo haría seria apagar todas las aplicaciones del synology y dejar solo la de fotos y reiniciar. Borrar todas las fotos y subirlas de nuevo desde la aplicacion, pero primero unas pocas para comprobar la velocidad del NAS. Yo tenia un 110J y era lento de cojones. Mas si ponías el download station varias cosas a la vez. Ahora tengo un xpenology con 4gb de RAM y puedo poner a bajar 40 cosas a la vez y estar con el plex viendo una peli. P.D: Una copia de seguridad es mas importante de lo que normalmente nos pensamos. Si realmente son importantes para ti esos datos gastate el dinero, es mejor eso que perder los datos personales. Podrías ponerte el Xpenology y el DS212J como backup de el..... EDIT: Tengo puestos 8GB RAM en vez de 4 como he puesto mas arriba

yo me he puesto este: APC Back-UPS BX 700VA por 70 y pico euros en un conocido portal de compras online. Lo detecta bien, pero no he hecho la prueba de desconectar cable para ver si funciona.

Hola En mi equipo si es estable, pero le he tenido que añadir una tarjeta de red con chipset intel, con la Realtek de la placa base no funcionaba, no obtenía ip el equipo. En tu caso es diferente, si la obtenia pero no te daba acceso. Seguramente lo has probado ya, pero intentaste entrar con el puerto puesto en URL (http://ip:5000) ???? El synology assistant que te decía?

I tried to install 6.1 with jun's alpha bootloader with no luck. After restart no lan working. Anyone knows how to solve it? EDIT: I put an Intel lan card and now I have IP address. Finally the machine booted but there is an error with SATA disks but all of them showed up (4 disks) and the data is there and all working ok, except some file/s that I had in my home but I can't remember which ones. I know that because the custom wallpaper I had is missing. So, waiting for a new bootloader that has realtek lan drivers in it and shows no error about data disks

Hi When I upgraded my AsrockQ1900 to 8451 update 5 I have lost USB3 ports. They don't work at all. I was booting with jun's bootloader from a pen drive plugged in a USB3 port, now I have to do it from a USB2 port. I tried to select default setting in BIOS, clear cmos, various usb settings in BIOS, and it doesn't work. Maybe is just a coincidence, if someone with this mobo has upgraded successfully please tell me something. Anyway, if someone after upgrading to U5 has lost USB3 too.....

Does Network work? and I assume the TurboBoost doesn't work, which, the CPU stuck at 1.6GHZ? >> Network seems ok, I will make a full TimeMachine backup to test it. About TurboBoost I read somewhere that it doesn't work, so I didn't try it.

hola Puedes pedirlo en el foro Ingles, seguro que allí hay alguien que te puede ayudar. Si no te aclaras con el idioma pide ayuda y seguramente alguien de los que estamos por aquí estará encantado de hacerlo.... Para que no haya problemas a la hora de pedir los drivers lo ideal seria que indicaras a parte del modulo que necesitas, el modelo de placa, BIOS y hardware especifico del driver que necesitas. Supongo que ya lo has visto, pero hay una version actualizada del loader, la 1.01.....

Hi Answering to dh22r about sata power, I would say yes, but with one thing in mind. The power must be enough to all your drives plus mobo. I'm no expert but in my opinion almost any power supply is capable to do this thing. (Graphic card adapters are heavy power consumers, and we don't have one, so.....)

Another solution is to have 2 machines Let your xpenology work everything except Plex server and use another machine with windows/linux and install Plex there. So you can use xpenology as a true NAS and use all the power of the dual xeon to transcode. About the dual xeon I'm not sure if it would be better than an i7 with a really good graphic card. With the same money as a dual xeon + registered memory + motherboard + fast ssd, you can get the most powerful i7 with more quantity of RAM and a couple of ssd in raid or a really fast pci-ssd

Hi dh22r, I can't help you but there are a couple of questions that may be interesting: 1.- Can any computer with 1 gigabit lan connect to xpenology to access media and at the same time serve it transcoded to another computer? If there are more than one client, it would be enough? 2.- maybe an i3 with 1 hdd ( <100mb/s) will not be enough to transcode to 1 or more clients, if you can put a ssd or even better a pci ssd I think yes, but I don't even have this type of media (1080/4k) and I don't have an i3 neither. Search the forums or open a new thread with this particular question, as this thread is "only" for our little mobo. If I was you I would search the net to obtain transcoding scores of this i3, and then compare it with cpus that other people in this forum have and they make transcoding.

Hi I think that maybe it should work if you copy to a hdd, but you loose that hdd.... Hi Maybe your hardware is not supported, as it is very specific, check this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10973 (you can request there too) As you have a very good machine, maybe it's better for you to install xpenology inside vmware esxi server. But before going there try to change modes in bios to the hdd. I don't know if it's possible but try to put them in non RAID mode as standard as possible. when I say standard I mean as a normal desktop computer. I can't help you in vmware configuration, but there are people here in this forum that can help

Hi, Please be more specific in your question and post info about hardware (cpu, ram, hdd's, etc). Also put some information which modules do not work/load properly. Why 5644.4 when there is another one newer?? Can you explain how did you the usb?

Lo siento no me fije en que tu cpu es de 32bits. Aquí hay un compañero que dice que lo ha hecho funcionar (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15755) pero con la version Nanoboot DSM-5.0-4528 DS214Play, pero mas abajo pone que va bien en maquinas viejas, no realmente viejas.

Hola Tu equipo funciona con una cpu ARM, estas no funcionan con xpenology. De todas maneras pon un enlace los manuales para que podamos ver como lo han conseguido.... Para obtener una mayor ayuda en tus preguntas cuida la información que das y como la das, me explico: 6 lineas de texto sin signos de puntuación se hace difícil de leer, te recomiendo que no escribas del tirón, piensa que otra persona que no tiene nada de información de tu problema tiene que leer tu pregunta y comprender que es lo que te pasa. Si quieres que la gente te ayude les has de dar la mayor cantidad de información posible: Marca y modelo del hardware, cpu, BIOS, ram, etc o al menos un enlace a la pagina web del fabricante.

Hola Pones que utilizas el DSM214play_4482.pat, ese no es para tu hardware. no te funcionara.... Prueba esto: 1º.- Te vas a http://xpenology.me/downloads/ y te bajas el .pat y el .img (o .iso) de la version 5644 (sin updates) 2º.- Lo instalas via web, no via Synology Assistant (alguna vez me ha fallado con el programa y no via web) 3º.- Actualizar con el update 5 de la pagina web mencionada arriba

right now, DSM 5.2 5644 Update 5.... My installation was easy, went to https://download.xpenology.fr and downloaded the .pat & .img files of "DS3615xs 5.2-5644.5 x64". Then img file to usb, boot with it, select upgrade, and then via web upgrade with .pat I recommend you to read this topic completely to learn from others to setup your machine, but basically what I wrote before and check Bios version & options
