What commands did you use to build the loader? Did you save a copy of the output of your build? Did you get ANY errors? Did you get the correct driver for the NIC? I believe the R710 has a Broadcom NIC? You can try this one: ./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/tg3/rpext-index.json And you can check to see what drivers you need: ./rploader.sh listmods broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 Servers can be a bit finicky with all the enterprise grade hardware. -

I don't think the R710 will support 12tb drives. According to this document, the max 3.5" hard drive capacity is 4tb. https://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/business/solutions/engineering-docs/en/Documents/server-poweredge-r710-tech-guidebook.pdf -

The R710 is such a beast to only use it as a NAS. But you will probably have issues with the disks being recognized with the Perc 6i. I don't believe there are drivers for that card and I'm unsure if can even be flashed to IT mode. Have a look at this thread where members have had some success with Jun's Loader (DS3615xs and DS3617xs) and DSM 5 and 6 on a the R710: Give the DS3622xs+ a try if you want DSM 7 using a test disk in one of the bays to see if the 6i would pass through and give access to the disks. -
Also, can you post the commands you use to build the loader?

Peter Suh Has written a comprehensive guide that's here in the forum. There has been some minor changes since the initial post, but the steps on the first page for the DS3622xs+ remains the go to for most. Find it here:

If you want a DSM7 on bare metal, you may want to choose at the DS3622xs+. I works with most hardware and is quite stable. That's what I would do if I already had a DSM 6.x.x build on a N36L... Have a look here:

is there a particular reason you want to build DS3615xs? With your 10th gen processor you should try the DS3622xs+ loader: ./rploader.sh clean now ./rploader.sh update now ./rploader.sh fullupgrade now ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh identifyusb now ./rploader.sh satamap now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218 manual ./rploader.sh clean now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 manual Then install the .pat file.

Members have had success with DS3622xs+ on older hardware.. Give these commands a try: ./rploader.sh clean now ./rploader.sh update now ./rploader.sh fullupgrade now ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh identifyusb now ./rploader.sh satamap now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218 manual ./rploader.sh clean now ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 manual

This guide was mentioned earlier in this thread: Hope it helps. -
Thanks for your reply Dvalin21. The nic is a QLogic BCM5709C. (I tried the tg3 driver)... and the sas card is the PERC 6i controller. I planned to get a H200 and flash to IT mode. Btw.. DS3615xs sees SATA and SAS drives with the PERC 6i

I have been trying to get DS3622xs working on a Dell R210 without success. I have tried different USB sticks, empty hard drives etc.. I downloaded the drivers for the NIC and all went well until I did the command to build the loader.. I get nothing. Tried DS3617xs and nothing. DS3615xs works great and so does DS918+, but for the life of me I cant get DS3622xs to work. Can you explain how you did it? Thanks.
