  1. I got an issue with the latest TCRP as well. Maybe get v0.9.4.4 and stick with that version. More details: - skip the first 2 commands - at build command, select n when asked to use the latest
  2. What did you mean by inaccessible? If you pointed a browser to it, you won't see anything. The next step for you, as you can see in the guide, is to install DSM. Please be noted your plugged-in, available drives might be re-formatted. All of them.
  3. I can see the above from the log. So the netcard is okay. The SATA controller will need an extension added. I can also see the IP address from your last screenshot as 192.168.1.46 Is that within the range of your LAN? This is a more basic guide if you would like to try out
  4. By the way, I looked up a bit for your HW specs as below as a start. Can you find out more details of your "5 ports SATA expansion card in the M.2 PCIE port". Unsure why you would need that as you have already got 4 internal SATA. Are you going with 9 disks etc? Chipset: AMD Promontory B350 NIC: Realtek RTL8111GR Internal: 4 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10), NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug
  5. Are you able to detail a little more on the steps you have followed? Especially the commands you have used with TCRP?
  6. It looks very nice. I guess the source code would be under html folder of your red-pill repo? And would you like some help?
  7. How about virtualising DSM and passthrough your SATA disks. You can do it in Windows using VirtualBox so gaming would be still good for you. NAS is meant to run 24/7 so I personally think dual boot would unlikely to be a good option.
  8. Shall I suggest a backup to external drive then replace the drive and restore from backup? Once the disk started to fail, it will fail eventually.
  9. The USB contains only the loader and is used to boot up your build. Nothing more, nothing less. If I remembered well reading in the forum: DSM is however installed to all your drives, one copy on each, when the drives are added.
  10. Hey, not an expert here but I would say you don't need to update TCRP if your build is working good for you. However, as you use the box, DSM new versions would come out and you might want to update DSM for security patches or new features. And this is when updating TCRP might be required. As to when is a good time, maybe changelogs of TCRP would tell you more or look out the report sucessful upgrades in the forum before doing yours. Hope that helps.
  11. @pocopico Is this interactive.sh still available somewhere? I can't find them in your repo. I supposed I could take a look. No promise though.
  12. Hey @Orphée, Thank you for your response. I think I confused you a bit with the word VMM. It is the Virtual Machine Manager I am using with my Linux Mint. It should be actually corrected to QEMU/KVM for less confusion. Same as PROXMOX as host but I am using it for a specific reason. Anyway, I read through more threads in the forum and found this one that helps me to shutdown/reboot via VMM (from host) and also within DSM ./rploader.sh ext ds918p-7.1.1-42962 add https://github.com/pocopico/redpill-load/raw/develop/redpill-acpid/rpext-index.json To @cloudorz the above extension would help you. Please adjust to your selected model/version. whereas the one previously posted (and below) did not work fully. I can only shutdown/reboot from within DSM. Nothing happened when triggering the actions from host. ./rploader.sh ext ds918p-7.1.1-42962 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/redpill-acpid/rpext-index.json PS: This post from @phone guy which is for something else but the signature pointed me to the working ACPId. The partially worked command is from this post for reference Cheers.
  13. @Orphée thank you for the info. Could you point me to a guide to add that? I used this but did not work from VMM, only from DSM itself ./rploader.sh ext ds918p-7.1.1-42962 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/redpill-acpid/rpext-index.json
  14. I am interested to know as well but it seems to much to ask. I have the same question in my with my setup using VMM but found no answers yet. The acpid ext from tcrp makes it possible to use the Shutdown in DSM at least. Doing shutdown, reboot from host would yield no results since qemu agent not installed / not connected.
  15. Hey @AMelbye, how did you go with 6.0.2? I am interested to know for i am getting similar issue.
