@Polanskiman Sorry for the late reply, PC Mobo blew had to RMA, then Xmas and set everything up again... Replacement PC with a fresh W10 Pro install has had no problems, so yes its solved. But I've no idea what the actual problem was. @IG-88@b0fh Thanks for the info guys. I had minimum smb protocol set to smb2 for a while but had to switch back to smb1 as some of my older media devices (e.g. Original Xbox running XBMC) couldn't access files.

Hi zhenfu, I'd love to have DSM working on Hyper-V too. But, as I understand it, the Hyper-V drivers are now installed/used at the kernel level, so you'd need a modified DSM kernel for it to work on Hyper-V Which is why DSM 6 and above don't work on Hyper-V.

Hi Polanskiman, Yeah I was hoping there may have been a quick fix via DSM. as my Home Server was still fine. But NO... Yet again a perfectly good W10 install got screwed by a forced update. Over the next week I notice a lot of little issues, like not being able to check properties/file size of two or more files at the same time, Or file copies not showing transfer speeds while copying. Nothing major, but enough to drive my OCD nuts.. Thanks replying though.

TerraMaster F2-220 with Jun's v1.02b loader (DS3615xs) updated from DSM 6.1.3-15152 update 8 to DSM 6.1.4-15217 Rebooted and everything seems fine. Also updated a VMWare VM thats using Jun's v1.02b loader (DS916) that too seems fine. I haven't updated my HP Microserver N40L yet, as some have already reported issues.

Hi Guys, I've got a strange problem that's just occurred. My main PC updated to Windows 10 1709 a couple of nights ago. Since then I can access both my NAS's OK, but I can't access files. ??? e.g. I can double click the shortcut to my NAS, then double click to enter the 'ISO' and 'Windows' folders, but if I double click the 'Windows 7 ISO' to mount it. I get any error saying I don't have permission to access the file. Or if I try and play a video 'Flim & TV' errors saying it can't access the item and WMP just fails to load it Its pretty clear this is a Windows 10 issue, as all these files are working fine on my other devices with the same account, but does anyone have any idea what's going on. And save me doing a clean install on my main PC. Thanks

Hi pokemon, That sounds like what was happening when I was trying a DS916+ install. I don't think it has the NIC drivers. Try using a DS3615xs or DS3617xs loader and install. You could also try removing any RAM that's been added, that is still causing me issues.

@dasis If your No-IP domain is a free one, theres little point using the DDNS settings in DSM. As it will only update, you'll still have to re new it each month. FYI, DSM will only let use one domain per provider. I have two with No-IP so I set one up as a custom domain using an alias as the Title. No-IP did work as a custom DDNS this way, but with a recent update it started throwing up an error "host name does not exist"

Updated both my systems with update 4 on Monday (4 days ago) no problems here.Both systems use SHR. Just a thought, as the updated is related to RAID systems, it many be an idea for those with problems to list if they have RAID's or not. And which type.

I've got one of these too, its a great little NAS, shame about the plastic trays I've got a strange problem with mine, that I'm hoping someone can advise me on. I tried about half a dozen different makes of 2gb SODIMMS in it but it would boot with any of them, then last month I got a 4gb SODIMM from a Lenovo laptop. That boots fine and is found by the BIOS and Server 2012R2. But Xpenology (Jun's loader v1.02b DS3615xs) won't boot with the 6gb of RAM Anyone have any Ideas ??? FYI, I tried DS916+ as well that booted but, couldn't find any HDD's.
