i got the n40l running ds3622xs+ but when i go to install the pat file 7.2.64570 update1 it gets to 57% then fails any one got any ideas i do have the C1E off in the bios

Some help please i am following the steps on the first page i have logged in successfully with putty but after going through the first few commands the json file dose not seam to exist PuTTY 0.78 running on windows 11 i am trying to install Redpill / XPEnology on a HP N40L

hi all i have a HP N40L server that has been running Jun DSM 6.2.3-25426 update 3 DS3615xs for around a year with no problems cpu is an intel 1.5 Ghz 2 core with 8 gig ram i curranty have 3 x 8tb, 1 x 4tb , and 2 x 3tb hard drives running in raid 5 as i have just become aware if i change to shr raid i will get 26tb usable instead of the 15th i curranty have (cant afford to replace the drives at the min) so i am in the process of backing up all the information on there then i am going to break the raid to start again now finally to my question dose any one know if red pill will work on the N40L it has an intel nic installed as the jun loader had a problem with the onboard nic and is it worth updating if it can be done its used mostly for tv shows to be streamed to a kodi box -
Hi all i have been running a HP N40L for a couple of years with Juns loader its running DSM 6.2.3-25426 update 3 on DS3615xs and 6 hard drives my question with this new loader would i be able to update the DSM to the latest version with out loosing any data that is on the drives i can get around a computer ok but am not on the same level as a lot of people on this forum

thanks for the tip in the end as i was still running and older update and could still boot with the internal nic i was able to install the new nic card start up the server with the cat 5 cable plugged in to the onboard nic once the server had started i plugged a cat 5 cable in to the new nic and you get the address from my router

Looking for a bit more help I have received the nc360t card I was hoping it would have the Mac address printed on it so I could add it to the boot file for xpynology But it dose not What's the best way for me to get the Mac address

Hi I have a n40l running 1.03b on 6.2 I understand if I want to update past 6.2 I need to install an Intel nic would on like this be ok Intel PRO/1000 CT Desktop Adaptor PCI Express If not can you some one recommend one as I see lots off different Intel nic at different prices

Think it just ds918 I just tried 1.04b on my n40l that is running 3615xs and I could not find it on the next work have gone back to 1.03b and can see my server again

hi i have a HP n40l running the old jun loader on 3615 would i be able to update to 3617 and keep all my data intact there is 12TB with 8 TB used on a SHR raid thanks for any help

HP Gen 7 and 8 Juns 1.02b both updated and working fine

can some one please tell me what pat file i should use with V1.02a2 i have tried pat files DSM_DS3617xs_15101.pat, DSM_DS3617xs_15047.pat and DSM_DS3617xs_8754.pat they all get to around 56% install then they fail with a your pat file may be corrupt but i don't think they are
