  1. most of the intel/realtek cards are working out of the box
  2. Hi, Thanks to Aigor and IG-88 i managed to compile drivers in Bash for windows. I used snippets from both users to make this tutorial! Thanks for that! Follow the tutor here: http://xpenology.club/compile-drivers-x ... d-in-bash/
  3. EDIT: Sorry, i misread you.. anyways, why would u want an old package? Sickrage is developed actively! and much much better! no need, i got sickrage (much better then sickbeard) running on dsm 6. Add custom sickbeard and paste the git url.. https://github.com/SickRage/SickRage.git I had to edit the start stop script to run as root: edit this file: /var/packages/sickbeard-custom/scripts/start-stop-status and replace the user with root USER="root"
  4. Im sorry, i made a typo.. its ASUS U3S6 Its this controller: https://www.everythingusb.com/asus-u3s6 ... 18307.html On my box i type lspci and i see this output.. 0001:07:00.0 Class 0000: Device 1b4b:9235 (rev ff) 0001:08:00.0 Class 0000: Device 1b4b:9235 (rev ff) 0001:09:00.0 Class 0000: Device 1b4b:9235 (rev ff) 0001:0a:00.0 Class 0000: Device 1b4b:9235 (rev ff) Looking for the id on this site: https://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/1b4b/9235 and that gave me the chipset.. Im not sure if its got a SE9235 or a SE9123. 5. So, i followed your tutorials and i got compiling working.. (giving me shit about usb drivers, so i disabled them.) But i have a couple of qstions.. Where can i enable U36S drivers? lspci gives me https://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/1b4b/9235 I believe its a Marvel 88SE9123 controller and google told me it's already in the achi.ko but whenever i compile that and replace the lmza.extra i cant find my box on the network. When i insmod that ko file its giving me shit about symbols.. do you guys have any idea how to solve this?
  6. There is no vid/pid for hard drives. vid/pid are only identification numbers for USB devices. That's not true.. The USB bay has an controller and that controller got a pid and vid. @ bmwfreak8 Not in your computer but use a HD bay 2.5 inch and put in some old laptop disk.. like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-5mm-IDE-2-5- ... 0506103629 btw, do not buy a usb 3.0 bay but a 2.0
  7. Maybe you can buy a 2.5 inch HD bay and put a old drive in it.. Then burn the img to the drive.. do not forget the pid/vid
  8. I now used an old 512 MB stick. Same problem. Booting 5.2 is okay with this. So I think the grub is the problem. Question again: can i start the new loader with syslinux instead of grub somehow? mm can you make an iso http://xpenology.club/convert-img-to-iso-on-windows/ from the image file and then use rufus to create a usb stick? In rufus, checkbox the bootable option and then choose the iso you converted.. No idea if this works but its worth a try!
  9. re-image your stick again: write the syno image on the usb for a second time
  10. could be this: http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?46817 Maybe you can use a smaller usb drive. like below 2gb?
  11. I know those machines (dc7900) and can remember there were problems with usb booting.. I remember i had to use syslinux instead of grub for booting hiren stick. anyways, Did you try the ports on the back of the machines?
  12. Ok thanks!! the tutor works.. had some problems with dsm everytime saying that i had to update.. (migratable) after i reimaged my usb stick it worked!
  13. Thanks allot.. I just compiled the modules.. It is not working.. i can insmod: dvb-core.ko tda10021.ko without errors... Cant find: cu1216.ko I get error with insmod: mantis.ko (unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter) b2c2-flexcop-pci.ko (unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter) If you get this to work ill give you 30$ here some more information : http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/T ... leStar_HD2 been fukin arround for a couple days now.. I think im going to buy a usb stick.
  14. Where did you get the source for 3810? i cant find it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/f ... %20Source/ (maybe i can try compiling some kernel modules.)
  15. Technisat CableStar HD2 http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/T ... leStar_HD2 lspci: Multimedia controller: Twinhan Technology Co. Ltd Mantis DTV PCI Bridge Controller [Ver 1.0] (rev 01)
  16. Hi all, Im trying to build a tv server.. I got oscam working with my smargo (syno) Now i need tvheadend working to see my dvb card.. Under openelec my card is detected but that is annoying becuase then my xbmc needs to be on all the time.. Does anyone know how to install http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/T ... leStar_HD2 Are there linux gurus out there that can help me.. Im willing to pay if someone provides me a instruction to get it to work! Linux DiskStation 3.2.40 #15 SMP Sun Nov 17 00:44:13 CET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux synology_bromolow_3612xs lspci: Twinhan Technology Co. Ltd Mantis DTV PCI Bridge Controller [Ver 1.0] (rev 01) i tried to compile kernel modules but i always get: unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter with some modules... Which sources do i need? I took gcc420_glibc236_x64-GPL.tgz and synogpl-3776-x64.tbz Thanks In advance! Greetz
