- Loader version and model: Jun's v1.04b - DS918+

- Additional comments:  Before all of this, i have install 1.02b-6.1.7 with 3617XS and occur the"Time Bomb". Then I fully clean install 1.03b-6.2.3 25423 with 3615xs,but :[LAN1]Link down&up appear randomly in the log , That's really makes me gloomly. I dont need HW transcode ,hitherto,24 hours has been past, the DSM runing well , if the [Link down&up] reappear, there's no solution but only throw the old B85 platform into river. thanks to extra.lzma v0.11.

- Outcome of the update:  UNSUCCESSFUL

- DSM version prior update: DSM 6.1.7 Update 3

- Loader version and model: Jun 1.03b - DS3615xs

- Using custom extra.lzma: NO

- Installation type: VM - ESXi 6.7U2

- Additional comments: Error 21 encountered on Migration Install.  Attempted a Recovery Install and this also resulted in Error 21.

Eventually had to do a clean 6.2.3 install on a new drive and import the arrays manually.

This particular system was very complex - RDM NVMe boot drives, RAIDF1, passthrough SATA and 10Gbe network and multiple storage pools. I performed a number of simulated upgrades directly from 6.1.7 to 6.2.3, and they all completed successfully. However, I see that a small number of upgrade attempts are also reporting Error 21. EDIT 2020-05/20 - it seems most, if not all of these are due to synoboot not being accessible which is required to complete the update. As I was attempting a migration upgrade, there was no opportunity to load FixSynoboot.sh on a clean 1.03b loader.

Potential alternative resolutions might be to 1) edit DiskIdxMap and SataPortMap in grub runtime environment 2) use a serial console to manually create synoboot prior to initiating the migration install, or 3) upgrade first to 6.2.1, apply FixSynoboot.sh and then upgrade to 6.2.3.

- Additional comments: Ran Recommended Commands: rm -rf /usr/lib/modules/update/*
rm -rf /usr/lib/firmware/i915/* from ssh terminal to remove drivers and restarted before using newly copied Test LZMA 0.11. Updated Directly with DSM_DS918+_25426.pat file, took about 7-10 minutes from restart back to Main Page. All Settings Seem to be intact including Docker. AMAZON USB 3.0 GIGABIT ETHERNET NIC Working (0B95 1790), . I-219-V Internal NIC (WORKING GREAT with Test LZMA v0.11 previously did not work). I am a happy camper. I also recommend having a ubuntu iso flashed to a flash drive on hand for quick troubleshooting and getting a better view of your devices ID's & grub editing/mounting. Cheers and Thank You again to all members who assisted!
