    Ok so installed lsi 9211 -8i on esxi (8 PORT 2008 9211-8i LSI SAS HBA SAS/SATA RAID Controller PCIe-IT modalità D2607) configured as passtrough assigned to a fresh test xpenology with no system when it start appear the syno screen that tells me NO DISK INSTALLED (i've put two test disks ) vmware log says: Have no idea... regards Daniele

    Thank you for fast reply, I'm sorry, my mistake... it's asm1166, and ok i'll give a try to jmb585. Please could you tell me if 9211-8i is able to run in passtrough as sata ahci? My goal is to retrieve smart data also behind a esxi machine. Best regards Daniele.

    Hi also i bought asmedia 1066 but system wont boot juns 103 with ds3617xs on hp ml310e gen8 server. so 1 test disk on asm1066 and 2 raid 1 on b120 internal software raid my sata_args are: sata_args='sata_uid=1 sata_pcislot=5 synoboot_satadom=1 DiskIdxMap=0C SataPortMap=44 SasIdxMap=0' could you suggest a config? esxi use b120 software raid for the datastore where is located synoboot.img and vmdk if add pci sata with passtrough system won't boot up. logs report this: it seems that on booting it recognize the first and only disk attached to asm1066 but it's enumerated as sata0, so try to change boot disk on scsi but no luck. regards and tahnk you in advance Daniele

    Buongiorno a tutti, scrivo qui perchè mi sono reso conto di un problema di perdita pacchetti su una installazione di xpenology su esxi (sia 6.5 che 5.5) montato su Hp proliant g6 Il cliente ha lamentato una lentezza di risposta del sistema dia nel browsing che nel download upload dei file, ho contatato un effettivo rallentamento generale della macchina fino al totale blocco del sistema che scompare dalla rete per anche più di unminuto per poi ricomparire. Ho verificato due problemi: La scheda di rete riconosciuta è un 10 gbe (mentre la scheda installata è una gbe normale sia fisica che virtuale) la macchina se pingata ha un rateo di perdita pacchetti vicino al 70% L'immagine è una ds 3615xs con il loader quicknix Vi cheisdo aiuto perchè sono verginello di xpe. grazie in anticipo a chi vorrà dedicarmi del tempo!
