  1. at the end!!! 😁😁, my N54L with DSM 6.2.1U4 it shutdown correctly from the DSM OS and reboot perfectly. After differents test I'm not sure what is exactly the real solution: or it's the U4 or the ACPI version 1.0. With 2.0 and 3.0 not works. My bios version is from 2011 too. I hope this help to other people. I've disabled the embedded NIC Port 1 control, too.

  4. @JJJL as you can read in the link you posted, its just the (critical) update, jadehawk's link reads: "release", so you are correct in your assumtion

  5. I can confirm: Switching to ACPI 1.0 AND disabling onboard NIC does the trick! Thank your very much!

  6. No, you have to copy your data off first as DSM install will blank your drive.

  8. As of right now. my VM is running DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4. As Always you should ALWAYS verify this on your own (I made another Test VM to see if it worked) BEFORE making any changes (Updates) to your "Production" Xpenology install. My hardware is an HP Microserver Gen 8. If you have something different it may not work out the same.. VM or NOT. Best Practice is always to test on a disposable copy of your XPenology install, for us running VM's is simple to just add another VM and see. You are ultimately responsible for your data.

  9. yeah downgrade is possible. just use afudos.exe on a usb boot disk with DOS (but i have one of these as backup) 1.30 was the last release before all the spectre/meltdown stuff. bios' past this gave unpredictable results in Windows 10 and lowered performance.
