hi everyone. does anyone here has same problem as me? I have an problem which synology photos cant indexing. I consider upgrading my RAM because the indexing failed because lack of ram. in notification center synology said I need close unused apps. my RAM is already 10GB. I think it is huge. my photos contain around 60GB per picture. the problem is, I cant upload picture anymore. even with a new synology Account my synology stand on latest proxmox. I have downgrade into 7.4 and no luck. device spec: Mobo: Gigabyte z390 UD RAM: 12GB proxmox 7.4-19 using PCI passthru to connect to HDD. PCI sata address 0000:00.17.0 arc loader 1.1.1 (241113) 2TB x 5 Seagate

you can passthru you sata. so your syno read directly. I am using this method and working well. I hope you install proxmox on m.2 nvme slot

I have read somewhere the maximum drive is 15 due linux limitation. that time synology OS still 6.2 does in 7.2.2 upgraded up to 60 drive? thank you for the answer

hello everyone, since I using proxmox on my DSM, I could detach my iGPU and using somewhere else. my question is, does iGPU used only for transcoding on synology Video or for read HEIC file in synology Photos? since I am not watching film on my NAS, I think I can detach iGPU. but if convert AME using iGPU, I cant Detach it AME using CPU or iGPU?

hi there, I have a question. I have install my synology in proxmox and it is going well. my proxmox was installed on unused intel optane 15GB. so it has limited capacity after install several OSs it left with 7GB SSD. I want to add it to ssd cache read and write. for starting I want to add 2 GB each, so it consume 4GB memory it detected in my NAS, but cant build cache. I have tried read only mode with 6GB ssd, but it refuse. I remember read somewhere that minimal capacity for ssd cache is 10gb. is that true? anyone can help me to proof this theory. thank you

well, I think I was misconfigure my loader. oh it seem a bug. does the bug about san repair fixed? I am afraid entering the loader, I might break something. lol

what type loader you use? wht is your PC specs? as I know, it automatically detecting with various M.2 Sata or NVME

as we know the maximum intel processor is intel 9 gen. gen 10 some work. what is the maximum AMD processor? can we use the latest AMD processor? I want to try DS923 thank you for answering
