While I was experimenting with trying to get the Jun one to work, I "migrated" to DS3617. After it rebooted, it never came back online. After I reboot again it says that it can "recover" the Synology. However, again, after rebooting, it does not come back online as networkable. I've tried all variations of extra.lzma that I could find, but all yielded the same result. Prior to me moving on to trying TCRP, do you have any other thoughts or suggestions for me?

Hi guys. I used 1.03b for the 3617 to migrate/upgrade my DSM from 3615, it claimed to be migrating, but the host is no longer pingable on the reboot? Can this take hours or something? It's been 30min and has not been resolvable since. I tried replacing the current extra.lzma on the second partition with the contents of extra3617_v0.11.2_test.zip, but no luck. Same with the v0.12 version as well. Thoughts?

Neither. I was using Jun's as described earlier. I just now tried TCRP but was not able to get an IP via DHCP or manually, not sure why. In either case, do you have suggestions for my original configuration, via Jun 1.03b or 1.04b? Thanks.

I realize that AMD does not support transcoding (or from what I've read as of late), and I must've just been lucky by just so happen to be using Intel back when. But does Surveillance Station require an Intel CPU to serve up video and function as normal, or can I get away with an AMD Ryzen? If so, what special things might I need for this to be worthwhile?

I recently built a new server with an Asus B450-MA motherboard. It starts up, but it does not recognize the previous install I imagine due to not detecting any drives. This was an old loader setup, but I'm fine maintaining that for now if possible. My current loader details: Jun loader 1.03b ds3615 DSM 6.2.3 I tried replacing the extra.lzma file on the second partition with a new one, version 0.12 I believe. In either case, still no such luck. End goal: revive previous installation on the server in its current state with a compatible loader for my current DS version with the necessary drivers to recognize my HDDs. Thoughts? It's been a very long time since I've messed with this, so appreciate any extra details.

Yes, primarily for the Surveillance Station and the 3.5" drives are from my current (lack lustered) desktop server. And awesome! That's great to hear. I was looking at 2 different ones on eBay and noticed that one was an H710, and the other an H310. I'll look into how to flash them. Do you have experience using these servers for surveillance? Also, would I still disable onboard SATA via the BIOS? I'm not really familiar with these hardware configurations, and wasn't sure if the SATA ports would be a part of the RAID controller card, or if there are most likely extra SATA ports on the mobo itself. I made those specifications since I recall years ago struggling with getting Surveillance Station to play nicely. Could I still use my 3.5" SATA drives? I'm not doing any special RAID'ing between the two drives. With that being said, do you anticipate me needing to flash the PERC controller that this model comes with?

Hi All, Anyone have experience with a Dell PowerEdge R320 or the like? Are there any issues with the RAID controller and DS3615 and DSM 6.2? I was hoping to migrate over my current HDDs that I am using with Surveillance Station and the USB that is powering the current installation of Xpenology. Any advice, suggestions, notes on gotchyas, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks!

I found out that it was a camera setting in Surveillance Station that I needed to change due to my Eufy 2K indoor cameras. Apparently, you must go to the "Device Settings", and on the last table, select the dropdown: "Streaming information source" and select "Streaming" and NOT "RTSP". All of the DS Cam stuttering went away after that.

I have a XPEnology setup with the latest Surveillance Station with two cameras running on it via RTSP, and it works great via the web and thick client interfaces on my local network. However, with any version of DS Cam I've tried, it stutters with the live view when there is any human movement. Any thoughts or suggestions I could try and tweak? The server is decent spec-wise as well, but I suspect it isn't the server itself or the LAN connection, as I don't have this issue with the web or thick client versions. Thanks in advance!
