  3. I have looked at numeroud thread on this issue ans searched separately. I am still none the wiser on if and how I go about allowing the HP Gen 8 microserver to spin down the HDDs and to spin down the disks. I am using the latest DSM 6. Should this be working by default or anything needs amending. Any help from those with it appreciated!
  4. Hi Everyone, I made a really stupid mistake of deleting volume 1 of my NAS. The Volume consists of 2 - 2TB WD drives and 1 - 1TB WD drive. one of the 2TB drives failed and I was supposed to repair it. I've done this before but in this instance, it totally slipped my mind that I need to uninstall the failed drive first before running the repair function. I made the moronic mistake of thinking the repair function was the remove volume function and now I lost volume 1. The failed drive is now uninstalled, the other 2 drives show they are healthy but the status is "

  6. Hi Everyone, There are 4 SATA ports on the motherboard. Disks are plugged into these ports sequentially but I see mixed in software. This is normal? I'm using DSM 6.1.5 for 3617xs
  7. Bonjour, Dans le passé j'avais suivi le tuto ( pour monter un proliant HP 54L. Je souhaite réaliser les améliorations suivantes à mon Proliant HP54L : 1) ajouter 2 HDD red 3To acheté depuis juillet ! 2) changer l'ordre des disques afin que le SSD de 120Go où il y a le DISKSTATION et les VM soit au niveau de l'emplacement du CD-ROM 3) ajouter une carte Ethernet TP-LINK TG-3468 pour augmenter le débit. Je suis sous Exsi 5.5 4) mettre à jour Xpenology pour une version 6.2 ou supérieure (si c'est possible)
  8. I have strange problem with Xpenology. I try alot of combination last few days. 1st when build Xpeno 6.1.3 or 6.0.2 both turn on and i can setup DSM after i add 1st 3TB hdd (in raw mode),.. images is located in RDM folder Xpenology still boot OK and i can create volumes, shutdown, restart anything,... 2nd when build Xpeno 6.1.3 or 6.0.2 both turn on and i can setup DSM after i add 2nd 3TB hdd (in raw mode),.. images is located in RDM folder Xpenology wont boot to working state. Hey this is Vish and noob to Xpenology, i was planning to buy new ds 216 until i found out about Xpenology ! i Was using ds 212j with 2tb +1tb Hdd no raid, all merged (backed up my v important data thru extarnal 1tb hd), unfortunately its motherboard crashed ! NOW is there a way where in i can use my existing dsm hdd (2+1tb HDD) in expenology like plug and play or little work around rather than starting off with a scratch like backing up all my data in other drive and then again tranferring it back which will be heck of a process !
