Gronaldo Posted April 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2017 Does a package exist that properly reports/monitors actual CPU temps and fan speeds? Thanks for any suggestions.

brantje Posted April 10, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 10, 2017 I used zabbix for monitoring. There are some templates that shows the disk temp and cpu temp.
Gronaldo Posted April 23, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks/bedankt @brantje. Found an easier solution, switched to Gen8 with iLO
IG-88 Posted April 23, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 23, 2017 if new hardware and ilo is a option, maybe switching to a more "open" distribution like open media vault is also a option? but having a plugin with email notification when things go wrong would be nice
mgrobins Posted April 25, 2017 Share #6 Posted April 25, 2017 I'm not on a HP (Supermicro) and whilst the IPMI software is ok it doesn't give disk temps or a bunch of other stuff. I may try the super doctor or whatever it is that SM have but a program to access in my DSM interface would be much much nicer . I am surprised there isn't one actually.
