trublu Posted December 7, 2016 Share #27 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) The Rankie doesn't work for DSM 6 because there's no RTL8153 support yet. I'll be testing the USB3-E1000 later this week. It uses AX88179 chipset so it should work. Edited December 8, 2016 by Guest
Sagabo Posted December 7, 2016 Share #28 Posted December 7, 2016 Hi! Does this "fix" also work in 6.0.2? I have a RTL8153, guess i have to wait for next release? Or do i need to put the mac-adress for it to work? It´s one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB3-0-To-RJ45-1000Mbps-Gigabit-Ethernet-LAN-Network-Adapter-for-Laptop-Notebook-/262562413429?hash=item3d21f07b75:g:3vQAAOSwARZXoqYf

lolvince Posted February 6, 2020 Share #33 Posted February 6, 2020 Hello, for the USB Network Card should we add the MACs to the grub file also?
IG-88 Posted February 6, 2020 Share #34 Posted February 6, 2020 no, should work without it (at least it did on my system)
lolvince Posted February 6, 2020 Share #35 Posted February 6, 2020 il y a 31 minutes, IG-88 a dit : no, should work without it (at least it did on my system) Yes it works well on my side too, but the fact of not declaring the MACs does not affect the functioning of the syno? suddenly, why declare the MAC in the GRUB file? does it serve to use official syno MACs like serial instead of the original MACs of our xpenology? WOL, that needs the real mac as in sleep the real mac is active also some licensing features of dsm compare sn and mac the later one could be solved by defining a unused mac slot with a sn matching mac but thats history now, there is a patch that will change the licensing module in a way that it always comes out with a positive result

With loader 1.04b and this adapter fails when it is updated to 6.2.2. Is there any way to include the extra.lzma after updating? What extra.lzma is the one I should use? I have seen that there are several
