QNAP auf eigener Hardware

Hi nach einigen Experimenten um meine Qnap 473 abzulösen, habe ich meinen Lenovo Tiny mit einer virtualisierten QTS 5 auf einem ESXI zum Laufen bekommen.

Läuft wunderbar und schneller als die Polizei erlaubt auf einem I7-9700

Ich war am Anfang skeptisch ob alles, was ich geplant habe geht, aber bin positiv überrascht. Sogar PCIe Passthrough funktioniert wunderbar.

haben es erfolgreich mit Intel I350-t4 getestet und ein NIC an QTS/VM weitergereicht und es wurde sofort erkannt. Ebenfalls mit meinem 10Gbit Adapter.

 

Für die, die Interesse haben. Kann Lenovo Tiny m920x/p330 und höher (m90q/P340/350/360) wärmstens empfehlen.

PCIe Slot für was man grad braucht, 2x M.2 NVME Slots je nach Modell mit Gen4x4, dazu noch ein WLAN Slot mit PCIe 4x1 und SATA. und das alles in einem sehr kleinem 1L Gehäuse.

Dient mir als ESXi Server und führt jetzt zusätzlich eine QTS VM

Hallo Zusammen,

ich bin seit einigen Tagen bemüht, das bei mir in Proxmox zum laufen zu kriegen. Habe schon alle möglich Hardwareeinstellungen und conf Datein probiert. Sehr ihr, was ich offensichtliches Falsch mache?

1) Von ISO booten

2) Firmware und conf. Datei in die VM kopieren

3) get_qnap_firmware T... ausgeführt - keine Probleme

4) create_qnap_boot augeührt und die kleinere der beiden Festplatten ausgewählt.

5) Von Boot Festplatte gestartet: Bleibt bei "hal_boot start" hängen.

 

Habt ihr eine Idee, was ich falsch mache? Habe meine Conf Datei und ein paar Screenshots meine Konfiguration angehangen.

Es gibt einen erfolgreichen Fall der Installation von Bare-Metal-ARPL-i18n auf dem TS-963X.
TCPP ist nicht möglich.

Hallo - long time not heard

 

Habe mich wieder dem Projekt TVS-1672XURP angenommen, bei dem alle HDDs, 4 SSDs (intern am MoBo) sowie die QNAP 4x2TB Karte erkannt werden. Netzwerk geht, (freier) Speicher wird nicht korrekt angezeigt, auch nicht der Systemlüfter oder die Bestückung der Speichersteckplätze.

Damit kann man leben

 

Was jetzt nach dem Firmwareupdate 5.1.0.2466 nicht mehr geht, ist das Einbinden in MyQNAPCloud!

Es kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:

 

Die Geräteinformationen konnten nicht abgerufen werden (Cluster UID). Fehlercode: -966. Überprüfen Sie die Netzwerkumgebung und versuchen Sie es erneut.

 

Any idea?

Probiere es mal aus. Wenn du dann nicht weiter kommst kannst du deine Probleme schildern und wenn es eine Lösung gibt wird dir bestimmt einer helfen können

Guten Tag. Ich habe ein Problem mit der korrekten Definition und Nummerierung von Festplatten sowie mit dem Problem, eine externe PCI-e-Karte zu identifizieren, festgestellt.
Bitte sag mir, wie man die model-Datei richtig bearbeitet.conf um die korrekte Nummerierung sowohl innerhalb des Motherboards als auch der externen PCI-e-Karte sowie innerhalb des QTS QNAP selbst für alle Geräte und Ports für verschiedene Arten von Festplatten korrekt zu bestimmen.

Ich habe verschiedene Optionen ausprobiert, aber leider hat nichts funktioniert.

Ich habe verschiedene Adressvarianten ausprobiert, es funktioniert nichts
auf verschiedenen Firmwares verschiedener Modelle sieht QNAP nur einen normalen Controller auf dem Motherboard

und will keine PCI-e-Karte für die HDD sehen

Wie Sie die Adressen richtig angeben, sagen Sie bitte jemand

Will you optimize this the QNAP_NEW_BOOT_ISO.img ?

 

It has working OTA updates. The only thing you have to do manually is the right model.conf  .

Well this is the one which @snoopy78 has posted here from a chinese forum. Well if you can optimze this with automized model.conf build would be realy great. So everyone should able then to build up a functional qnap usb boot stick on a uefi self made server with working OTA functionality[emoji106]

QuTS Hero is still an issue, the rest has been resolved more or less

When using the TS-x72 as the model, QuTS Hero doesn't need a license.

 

I used to run the TS-672 with QuTS Hero virtually within proxmox and it did run stable. The only reason I stopped using it was because I could only get the disks passed through and recognized through the /dev/by-id/ method and not by passing through the whole controller, which is what I preferred. When passing the whole controller, either on a Q35 or i440fx VM, the Qnap wouldn't recognize the disks.

 

Also, using virtio drivers for the NIC resulted in a working system, but the dashboard and resource monitor wouldn't show any stats for the NIC. No biggie, but needing to use e1000e and disk passthrough instead of more native solutions like sata passthrough and virtio within proxmox felt like a bit of a "half baked solution".

 

But to recap a long story, using a ts-x72 model would result in a working QuTS Hero (updateable) without license issues.
