  1. i was also wondering what nanopacked means. I hope it’s not some kind of added lockout measure.
  2. Looks like 7.1 has its first update
  3. The new most compatible loader is 3622
  4. Even though the cpu that comes with the unit is 8/16 - the max cores coded in kernel is 24. Linked is a breakdown done by @IG-88
  5. 3622xs+ image also supports high core/thread count - I’m not 100 percent of the amount but I believe it’s 24. @pocopicoor @IG-88 can confirm.
  6. In the US mine is working now too, last night it didn't so there may have been a temporary glitch on the other side.
  7. Cool - if you have it working - 7.1 isn’t a major leap forward so I imagine after making the required edits again it will function. I would disable any cache prior to update though otherwise your volume will crash without that cache Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Where do you see that particular error log? I attempt to update the AV and it says updating, updating successful, however the date code does not change so I assume it is not actually updating.
  9. Yes you are right I should have clarified as desktop chips
  10. Intel chips from at least 2011 and newer should support sse 4.2 - could be even earlier I just checked back to 2011 in intel ark I further checked and intel I series CPUs beginning from 2008 support sse 4.2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Good to know! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. For people who use proxmox. This may help https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/neccessary-to-enable-aes-ni-in-cpu-flags.87695/ If you selected kvm64 for that guest, it may mess with AES-ni and block it even if your cpu supports it. Might be worth checking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Does misc disable the crc32c for 3622? What functionality does that disable by commenting that particular feature out, do you know? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You should be able to and then do a recompile of the loader / I’m not sure how that process might change now with all the postupdate stuff
  15. I don’t know how relevant it is to your situation but in 7.1 synology changed the way codecs are downloaded and tied them to a user account and I think a real serial number. It could be the cause of your error
  16. it looks like they changed the way that codecs are downloaded to DSM requiring a login and a legitimate serial number to retrieve the actual codecs, it seems to be a requisite for Synology Photos now.. I am not sure if would it possible to manually install or not - maybe @pocopico can tell us.
  17. Updating from 7.1 RC to Final went very smoothly this time using the guides! Even got NVME cache working on my 3622 rig! Amazing! Thanks for all you guys do, boy - this is a fun thread! Chris
  18. I can confirm that this works very easily on dsm 7.1 final, following the guide, I was able to get a couple of NVME drives and an inexpensive dual NVME card, setup PCIE bifurcation on my motherboard, modify the file accordingly, PCI1 for first device, PCI2 for the second and so on.. and it came up in my case after a reboot!
  19. TC extracts to ram every time it boots so some partitions are based on the ram size and not based on the usb stick that the image is on.
  20. For 3622, can you upgrade right to 7.1 from 6.2.3 yet, or will it have to be step upgrades for the foreseeable future? can we go from 6.2.3 to 7.0.1 final to 7.1 final or would the RC always be in the update path? no problem either way, just curious.
  21. For 3622, the mpt2sas driver is already incorporated into the mpt3sas driver / extension. if you need to manually add that, you can. is your HBA card in IT or RAID mode? It would be better for you if it were in IT mode.
  22. You’ll have to roll back to 7.0.1 - remove the ssd cache from the volume - then attempt the postupdate process again - ensuring that you add the misc extension and whatever extensions are required for your box.
  23. To be clear - we are not ready for the “final” 7.1 dsm build yet, right?
  24. Do you have an SSD cache?
