Hi zexx,

I have checked both the binaries. Everything is as expected and nothing is unusual. synoame-bin-check-license is patched.

I managed to execute my amepatch.py on a new install of DVA1622. Everything is working correctly. can you try to uninstall AME and reinstall ?

maybe something wrong with SN/MAC ? i installed OS using arpl-i18n-23.9.1.img , how i can validate SN/MAC pair ?

I have seen exact same entries on my log before activating the patch for AME. These are normal entries. FYI, I'm using random MAC address generated by my ESXi and the VMware workstation for the clean install DVA1622. SN is also auto generated by arpl. No custom setting here.

Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate your errors on my DVA1622. have installed both mediaserver and the videostation so I can get as close as possible to your setup. Your setup must have some condition which breaks the library. Do you have any addons from arpl ? I didn't have any, plain vanilla setup in my arpl test.
are you able to test this library? I have added an additional NOP to the library. Since I'm not able to debug the the condition myself and replicate your errors. I'm only able to guess wildly the condition in the library. You have to test the libsynoame-license.so from the attachment I have added. Replace the existing library ( I'm not 100% it will work, give it a try. )

openat(AT_FDCWD, "/proc/sys/kernel/syno_internal_netif_num", O_RDONLY) = 3


without parameter "netif_num=X" in cmdline syno_internal_netif_num will return "-1"  , i think that this check should be added to patches

Then If I do this:

strace ./synoame-bin-check-license

I will have -1 result?

 

and If I do this:

strace ./synoame-bin-check-license 2>&1 | grep netif

I will have 0 result?

 

It's correct this?

easy patch request, can be done. However, question is do we need this ? I didn't put in netif_num in the parameters. How did mine work ?

now after the codec patch, videos take a longer time to load on mobile and mobile web browser I do not see any delay in pc/tv and also ended up with AAC grayed out in AME 1.0.0-00001 and won't update to 1.0.0-50001

good morning, did you manage to resolve this? i have exactly the same issue. Im unable to login to synology account INSIDE dsm. For example control panel > synology account. Or: Package center > Advanced Media Extensions > Open > Login with synology account. When i click, nothing happens.  

Im on ARC 23.10.5

How did you make it work? I clean installed 7.2.1 few days ago and couldn't get the codec to work

You will need to use my Wrapper and use the AAC codec like EAC3 or DTS... With my Wrapper you will be able to play it.

I'm on 7.2.1 and I got

MD5 match version AME 1.1.0-51005 date: 21/06/2023
Checking whether patch is successful...
Patch is unsuccessful, retcode = 256

and now im getting 

Patching
MD5 mismatch, not matching any version of AME

any solution? i only need heic and hevc for synology photo

Can someone write all the commands to enter in the SSH console from start to finish? I tried several times and unfortunately it stops at the installation option. I can't move on. Regards
