Have you tried selecting Upgrade during XPEnoboot boot selection and not via the Synology web console?

Don't forget to backup your settings in your syslinux.cfg before you write the new image to your flash drive.

Have you tried downloading the plex .spk directly from plex.tv? I just installed it and it works perfectly.
