Tutorial: Install/Migrate DSM 5.2 to 6.1.x (Jun's loader)
Vectorr66 replied to Polanskiman's topic in Tutorials and Guides
Hey everyone, I started reading through the forums to see what I could find. I build my USB drive without an issue. I am currently on 5.2-5565. My new USB boots but then stops at booting kernel. I leave it there but never see anything on the assistant or anything. Am I supposed to see more loading in like we do on 5.2? Is there a way to run a boot in some type of debug? Thank you so much, Mike -
I am having very similar problems, did you ever find a fix for this? I am getting the errors on boot and also not able to get into storage manager and time backup. Thanks!

Is there a way to fresh install latest without hurting data? I am currently already on latest but am having issues. ANYONE? please.....Sorry just not getting nightly backups done and all and am getting worried. Thanks so much!!!

This stinks, I really would love to get my system back to 100 percent.

I don't have storage manager and time backup not accessible with latest update. [DISAPPOINTED FACE] Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk

Yes it seems the answers are slow lately. I cannot afford to lose my data but at the same time I cannot access my storage manager, cannot do time backups. Something is definitely wrong with my setup.

Thanks Yeah Def need my backups to work right and all. Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk

Hello everyone. I currently am on the latest build usb and dsm. I am not able to access time backup and all. Is there a way to reinstall my DSM without hurting my data? Thanks! Mike Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk

No I haven't and really would like to. The reason I ha e asked the question is because it is also affecting getting to my time backup program.

Nobody gets this?

I am on XPEnoboot 5.2-5565.1 I am running into the storage manager connection failed please check your network settings. I am seeing NO Valid patch found for file: /tmproot/usr/syno/synoman/webman/modules/PkgManApp/... Couple different packages. I have searched forums and seen old answers for the storage manager and resource manager but not working. I didnt do a .cfg change for MAC and SERIAL on the USB drive. I am not too certain what that should be there. Thanks for any assistance. http://postimg.org/image/8v7fshwhv/

Hello, I do not have any of the photo or video apps installed. I am noticing though that my system is always chugging along and I am guessing indexing. I have attached my top running services. I see my crashplan in java up there but I do not see any real CPU usage on anything.

When it is done, it will be done We are all waiting just like you. He will do an amazing job we are sure.

Hello, I have been updated to 5.2 but I still have access to my command line and can access my data. I am worried though because I was unable to have it setup to stop automatic updates. Is there a way I can disable automatic updates until we can find a fix? My Crashplan and files are accessible so I am happy about that but I just do not have access to my web service. I figure I can wait things out until something might come along to help me out with 5.2 but until then I do not want my system to keep updating automatically. Thanks so much! Mike

I think I am lucky, I saw the email, didnt think anything of it about the update. Well YES my web is broken but the rest of the system is functioning properly SOOO I will just leave it as is until we can figure something out. I am very grateful for the work the team puts in on this, I appreciate it.

Lost access to web console after accidental DSM 5.2 Upgrade
Vectorr66 replied to dhirenmehta's topic in Archives
Yeah this happened to me, I am not toooo upset because my files are still accessable and my crashplan is still working. I am just keeping an eye out here to see if a fix comes along. Is this the wrong mentality? -
I think I might be ok, Didnt realize that I didnt have a proper drive in the right bay, repairing now.

Added HOT swap cage, volume was good before I took the drives out of the system. Added the cage, put the drives in and booted up. NOW I am going to cry. Why is my volume not detected? I AM NOT erasing the drives, this does not make sense. Please if anyone has any information that would be great. Thanks!

Ok so obviously I shut it down, since I have two drives I take out the one and replace with new one. The question is after the system rebuilds then I have to do the other drive right? Thanks again, just do not want to break anything.
