  1. I pleased to help Yes this fix will of course included in v1.4. Modifying /etc/rc is a way to autoload module, I will update the ramdrive to load the mpt2sas module at boot. Your fix in /etc.defaults/synoinfo is very great I'm waiting synology to release proper sources to compil and repack the 4.2 and/or maybe 4.3 (beta).....

Reboot and test. (maybe you will need to insmod the module) Waiting your feedback Please Trantor, add also support for LVM mirror. See: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=915#p4291 You only need to add this three modules: dm-mirror.ko, dm-region-hash.ko and dm-log.ko I will include these
  3. LSI drivers are already included (built in the kernel, I think old drivers). I will build latest LSI drivers (like I did for intel network card) as modules in next build. Can you boot your system with livecd like ubuntu and see if all disks are detected (post dmesg, message and/or modinfo) ?
  4. Just little update (I'm very busy at work) for the next update. Two "major" features are in testing stage ^^ - Add command like lspci, modinfo... If you want some please tell me (apt-* / dpkg not planned for now, maybe in future release with complete chroot of latest debian). - Wifi drivers (I'm not a wifi expert, for now I successfully detect/load driver for atheros and realtek card but got error when I "up" the interface: wlan0: link is not ready If someone want beta build to help debugging wireless
  5. Waiting Synology to release proper sources to build 4.2 compatible kernel (3.2.30).... or maybe some 4.3 beta What's driver is loaded at boot (megaraid, mpt2sas) ? Did you sucessfully install DSM on LSI Logical Volume ? Right now I have some issue installing DSM (no disk detected) with my LSI 9211-4i (mpt2sas). Investigating in progress ^^
  6. I think you shouldn't. On my two test machines I never have issue with this....
  7. Update repack to v1.3a (with fixed libcrypto by andy). Available on first post.
  8. I think you talking about package center working ? Ok I will repack the v1.3 with this fix
  9. I have no way to test it now but Andy you rock ! What did you patch/modify in this ?
  10. Hum I hope this will be gone with crypto fix... What's exactly your hardware (mainboard, network adapter...) ? What's the network configuration in DSM (static or dhcp) and did you use DDNS service ? It's seem DSM can't resolve gateway / external IP : synonet: net_default_gateway_set.c:36 failed to set default gateway 192.168.1.1 (256). net_external_ip_get.c(27) : Failed to get external IP by /usr/syno/sbin/ddnsd, WEXITSTATUS®=139
  11. - if I open Package Center and check the "Available" tab, I get an error message saying "Connection failed. Please check your network settings.". I don`t have this problem with 4.2.3202 & 4.2.3211 - so I must manually install Package - in Stationdownload, under settings, tab BT Search - I dont see any search engine plugin , if I want to add (serch.dlm) it, it does not working. Here are some errors from log messages: Jul 10 19:49:44 synonet: net_default_gateway_set.c:36 failed to set default gateway 192.168.1.1 (256). Jul 10 20:12:40 initdata.cgi: net_external_ip_get.c(27) : Failed to get external IP by /usr/syno/sbin/ddnsd, WEXITSTATUS®=139 Jul 10 20:14:11 PkgSynoMan.cgi: PkgSynoMan.cpp:887 No available path Jul 10 20:12:54 network.cgi: common_setting.cpp:353 set dns failed [0x0D00] I did add two network card ... to test it, but the problems are still there ... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Synology/Slike/IMG_0890.JPG After some investigation I found something in kernel config about crypto. From the beginning we compil crypto stack as built-in. But on official syno this is built as modules. This is why we see all insmod errors about crypto... I need to start from scratch with config file to be able to build crypto as module @herbyesk : I need to test with my LSI SAS controller. Maybe some firmware issue
  12. Hi, I feel that the answer is NO! I explain: You can schedule by software a shutdown on a specific time. You can configure your BIOS to boot at specific time. But, you need to create a software that changes your bios values to set the new boot time. This is a hard work! Workaround: Configure your XPEnology to Wake-On-Lan, and use your router (with OpenWRT or another custom distribution) to wakeup your XPEnology at specific time. TN. I just test it on my Zotac box, shutdown and start work but I loose BIOS config
  13. It's appear that ubuntu use the exact same driver but as module and not built-in the kernel. I see in message log when you put your card in : insmod: can't insert '/lib/modules/synobios.ko': File exists this is why the system is shutdowning/restarting but why Did your machine boot ok the first time (no dsm installed) with your controller card plug-in without no disk on it ? @interested : any issue to report ? Like we see in logs, there are lot of crypts errors... I will look to fix all of these shortly
  14. Yes if you please give me logs files. Test with ubuntu livecd if your controller is detected and look what module and version is loaded. I will include wireless support in my next update (atheros, realtek, intel, ralink...)
  15. Yes I agree. Schedule for v1.3 ^^
  16. No wireless support is "yet" included in this build, but I can update it and include wireless drivers. If someone want specific driver please let me know
  18. J'ai trouvé ca / I found this: http://www.webupd8.org/2009/12/convert- ... rtual.html
  19. Hi, This is done for AX88179 in DSM 4.2 x64: http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=928#p4431 not the sil3114 but yeah, thanks Test with my repack: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=937 Sil chips are supported (SATA_SIL24 and SATA_SIL drivers built in kernel) @stanza : LSI Logic MegaRAID SAS RAID / SATA, MPT2SAS are also included
  20. Only two PATA drivers is included in this kernel: SiS PATA AMD/NVidia PATA If you want more, just tell me
  21. Nouveau repack v1.2 dispo : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=937 Correction de bugs liés aux ports USB et quelques bricoles
  22. Give a try with my repack, it include LSI SAS / RAID support viewtopic.php?f=2&t=937
