  1. Synology will release an full updated 4.3 build by the end of the month not just a small update. Where I have been ? Busy, busy, busy ^^(home, work, family..) Just for the info (download server since last reboot): Uptime : 41 days 21 hours 2 min 12 s Traffic : 1.70 Tbyte
  2. Beta7 include r8168 v8.037 Next beta will of course include v8.038
  3. Hi all, As you already know ther is an OpenSSL Heartbleed Vulnerability in DSM. Synology plan the update for 4.3 branch by the end of april : http://www.synology.com/en-global/compa ... rticle/450 I will update my 4.3 build when this patch will be out
  4. Me too on this, is this going to be possible? Many Thanks, Hi guys, Unfortunatly the 4.2-3248 build in only available for 09 devices branch (like ds109, ds209...) : http://ukdl.synology.com/download/DSM/4.2/3248/. An update for 4.3 build is schedule for the end of april: When this is out, I will update my 4.3 build.
  5. Andy, we get an error when we post a mesage: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting ')' in /home/xpenol/public_html/forum/cache/queue.php on line 3 Can you do something to fix this ?
  6. @maelstromm and @Poechi: I can't send you the informations for your wiki account (PM apparently broken), can you please give me your email
  7. Andy create for me an admin account for the wiki. I didn't have the time to administer the wiki. I need one or two serious people to manage the wiki and add content. Ask me, I will create you an account.
  8. I agree with all of you guys, we need a *real* Wiki ! I just send a PM to andy so he can modify/allow users to edit the wiki
  9. Unfortunatly your controller is not handled by the mpt2sas LSI does not provide the driver sources for your controller (they only provide compiled kernel modules for 2.6.x branch)
  10. This is a normal behavior. This ESXi build is not patched like HBA build so you can't install directly DSM on a SCSI/SAS controller.
  11. To be honest I just quickly test pptp and it seems to work. No idea for OpenVPN and L2TP
  12. DSM 4.3-3827 build fix the security holes. Yes this forum is a mess, but I'm not the main admin, I can't optimize it. During one day I set up a paypal account for donation, it was hacked the same day... I only do it for fun and sharing, not for money. Before working on DSM 5.0: - I just finished my updated ESXi build (DSM 4.3-3827) this week-end. - Done some download server maintenance. - I'm currently finalizing beta 8 which add support for sound, bluetooth, wifi and maybe dvb. Yes DSM 5.0 is a "big" update, but it doesn't add amazing new features, "just" refresh the UI. I know you guys out there like the Up to Date way but in IT this is more If It Works, Don't Touch It ^^ So YES I will of course work on DSM 5.0, but when I will found time for it.
  13. Download server is under maintenance and maybe it will be down for some time.
  14. Anti-leech system. The links are valid only for 60sec. Refresh the page and click within the minute
  15. v1.2 is available in first page ! cifs, nfs and iscsi (forced in iet mode) working. I have not tested upgrading from 3810 build but as usal before doing anything BACKUP YOUR DATA
  16. Don't forget that we do all the work on our free time. If you like Synology buy their awesome devices
  17. When I will found some time to finish some testing I sucessfully get iSCSI (regular and block) working in iet mode. For regular mode, LUN must be created with advanced LUN features disabled (otherwise errors about vaai occurs). You can test with beta7, iSCSI *should* works too. To switch iSCSI to iet mode edit /etc/synoinfo.conf and /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf: iscsi_target_type="iet"
  18. I just tested on a clean beta7 setup and CIFS mount is working. Synology doesn't provide all sources for iSCSI and adding some options to the kernel break it. I will look to get it working in iet mode.
  19. This week-end I build a working 4.3-3827 build for ESXi with PVSCSI support. I'm having issues building open-vm-Tools and no time to troubleshoot it. I will just include the bootstrap setup script and post this updated build soon. If I have time I will look to get iSCSI working in iet mode. EDIT: I sucessfully get iSCSI (regular and block) working in iet mode. For regular mode, LUN must be created with advanced LUN features disabled (otherwise errors about vaai occurs). For now : CIFS, NFS, iSCSI ok
  20. Beta8 will include sound drivers. Dell PERC use mpt2sas (already included) RTL8111E already working with r8168 driver, SITECOM LN-027 is based on a realtek chipset, it should work MARVEL YUKON 88E8056 and 88E8039 already working with sk98lin driver. aacraid is already included but maybe it's too recent version to handle these card properly. I will build it with the kernel sources
  21. @snoopy78 and stanza I read that you have issues when installing/updating because of default settings in synoinfo.conf. Can you help me to figure out the "good" values so I can build a special synoboot and pat file stanza I read that you use this settings: maxdisks = 20 esataportcfg="0x00" usbportcfg="0xff00000" internalportcfg="0xfffff" snoopy78 you talk about sysctl.conf, what values did you add/edit ?
  22. Forgot to patch it in hda1 ^^ I will try this But I don't understand how the mac adresses fix can also fix the sn not showing
  23. @gnoboot : How did you managed to remove the vender file and get sn working ? As I said above if I remove the vender file and put sn in grub, sn is not showed (dsm and Synology Assistant)
