  1. there is a driver request thread here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1361 But remember that the guys that have developed this are doing it as and when so dont hold your breath. I took the reverse and easier route and found expansion cards based on chipsets that has drivers already in nanoboot (Silicon Image for example), and built from there.
  2. I tried a couple of port multipliers when I was building a bare metal 12 bay unit. None would work and only the first drive attached to the multiplier was shown in DSM, same as you see. I think this is because the Nanoboot drivers are limited to standard ones for the various popular sata controllers and do not include 'exotic' drivers for port multipliers.
  3. If you use the Opera browser and switch to 'Turbo Mode' it bypasses the network level blocks to torrent sources that most UK ISPs have been made to set up
  4. Have you tried a packet sniffer/protocol analyser to see what traffic you have on the LAN between the NAS and Router I had a problem with a QNAP NAS and some downloads, if the torrent was bad it would flood my network with TCP requests through the Router and the Router would freeze , similar to a DDoS. Hope that helps
