  1. Thanks a lot for that information, i just ordered a LSI 9211-8i already in IT mode by the seller. 1000MB/s will be fine Because the mini-sas connector has bad contacts, if i touch the cable, 2 hdd are recognized, if a touch again, one more, i touch again, none.. lol.. I saw prices for motherbard replacment, they are totally out of reality..
  2. Thank you for the explanation, it's crystal clear now. In order to keep BareMetal install, i will have to add a Sata controller card, but the wire system of drive cage from HP Gen8 don't allow me to do that. My only left choice is a vm via ESXi.
  3. Ooops i found a thread where Polanskiman says : Hardware Raid cards are not handled by DSM. So I don't understand why on HP Gen8 Microserver DSM is working with onboard HP B120i raid chipset but not with additionnal card HP P222..? I'm missing something but i can't touch it...
  4. Hello everybody, Any luck to have storage driver for HP Smart Array P222 ?
  5. Thank you Luchuma, you directed me on the right way, indeed i didn't know that 25426 version was released, and DSM works perfectly with my native nic now. For Intel, i just used dsm 6.2.3-25426 + synoboot ds3617xs + extra.lzma 1.0.0 3617xs
  6. Thank you for your answer Luchuma, i already ordered a Xeon E3 1220L v2 few days ago, it will arrive in next week. i already have a ssd in odd bay, and ESXi is installed on it (i unplugged my 4 HDD which contains DSM and data for safety) so far so good Ok so i can add my 4 physical HDD as RDM into my new created XPeno VM ? Great news !! i will search for tutorial. Regarding baremetal, sadly once Jun Loader 1.03b is launched, Synology assistant didn't see any NAS.. i tried with and without extra.lzma custom with and without adding rz and image into it, so i missed something. By the way, please forgive my grammatical errors in english, it's not my native language..
  7. Hello all, Until now I had a HP Microserver N54L with BareMetal DSM 6.2.2 ans Jun 1.03b (DS3615XS) with 4 HDD. I just bought a HP Microserver Gen8 G1610T and putted in the 4 HDD who were in Gen7. Beyond the fact that is not possible to run DSM 6.2.2 with native NIC, is there a way to.. How to say.. Retrieve the whole BareMetal configuration of my Gen7, but on my new Gen8 into ESXi6.7 without any loss ? Thanks for your help..
  8. Hi, in first, i searched across all the board with X3418 keyword and found barely nothing.. all references talks about intel's cpu.. Is anyone tried to run DSM 6.2 with a AMD X3418 CPU ? I'm about to buy a HP Proliant Microserver GEN10, and there are 2 models : X3216, 2 cores (which is compatible with 1.04b and DSM 6.2) cpu SOLDERED X3418 4 cores cpu UPGRADABLE ! Thanks for all help you can provide to me.. Dadoo
  10. Hi Hoppler, That's right, i forgot that i have a hardware firewall but i was pretty sure to have excluded LAN to LAN traffic from DPI and others watching tools. i'll verify tonight. Thanks a lot for that information Hoppler.
  11. Hi everyone, CAUTION, i followed tutorial in first page by HOPPLER and that did'nt work.. BECAUSE i tried with "https". I tried in http mode and..success !! So, if, like me, you just have an error like "ssl_error_rx_record_too_long" think about http connexion. So the tutorial by HOPPLER become : http://URL:PORT/webapi/auth.cgi?api=SYNO.API.Auth&method=Login&version=1&account=USER&passwd=PASS http://URL:PORT/webapi/entry.cgi?api=SYNO.ActiveBackup.Activation&method=set&version=1&activated=true&serial_number="SERIALNUMBER" To get the current activation status call the 1. query above and then http://URL:PORT/webapi/entry.cgi?api=SYNO.ActiveBackup.Activation&method=get&version=1 PS : my connexion to DSM is in https (in fact, every page is in https, i don't explain why that didn't work properly..
  12. Hello Bearcat and thank you for the tip I will try , and, don't worry, if my MB fries, she will serve as hand warmer at least for few seconds
  16. Hello everyone, i think after 2 hours and 120 possibilities tried, i really appreciate some help about my problem.. I have a HP N54L with DSM 6.2.2 with stock rear fan (which is noisy) I buyed a Coolink swif2 120mm which doesn't start (without changing pins order) I tried to follow silent pc review which explain how to reorder pins...but.. no luck.... original fan has that configuration : From fan : green/yellow/red/black From pinout : green/black/red/yellow Coolink fan has that configuration : From fan : Blue (red)/Yellow/Black/Green From pineout : Black / Yellow /Green / Blue (red) Do you know exact order for that specific model ? Thanks for your help..
