fobbie Posted November 21, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2013 Installed the system, and my Mac Changed. Suddenly realize I didn't write down the original, then installed Windows 7 just to check the Mac address..without luck. So what should I do to recover my mac address so I can flash it? Thanks alot. XPEH Posted November 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2013 The real MAC on the NIC didn't change. Synoboot substitutes it with the one coded in the vender file while booting. If you boot from any liveCD (linux, or WindowsPe) it will show the real one.

Dmesg outputs kernelmessages so you can find the real Macaddress. (Search for Mac for example with the vi-editor) Best regards, Leon
