Virtual DSM Manager - Impossible to enable

Hi guys,

 

I have a working Microserver G8 with DSM 6.0.2 u9

Last day I have try to activate and setup Virtual DSM Manager but I can't arrive at the end of first setup.

 

It ask to me to manage network connection and create a cluster (I have 2 ethernet connection with both static ip).

When I say "yes" he said that "can't create..." (I don't remember the message).

 

Anyone are using this system to virtualize anythings?

I assume both network ports are on same sub net? (192.x.x.x)

Move lan 2 to say> 172.16.16.1 this is for comms with VDSM

Lan 1 is

192.168.1.5

255.255.255.0

192.168.1.1

 

Lan 2 is

192.168.1.8

255.255.255.0

192.168.1.1

 

What I need to do?

If I select the second NIC I'll get the same error.

Both NIC are connected to the same router, with 2 different IP (like u can see)

What can be?

have you checked dmesg and /var/log/messages to see some log?

I did same config as yours and my cluster is up and running, but i'm on DSM6.0U9 on gen8 baremetal

Set nic 2 to dhcp. It run then And make the vswitch alone over this adaptor.

use lan 2 as dedicated for comms, not 1

I have the same error.

Same with Open vSwitch on or off.

 

Using XPEnology bootloader for DSM 6.0.2-8451.5.
