fab198 Posted January 25, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2021 Hi, i have actually DSM 6.0.1 in hyper-V. With VM migration assistant i can boot the loader 1.4b in a vhdx file but it freeze after few seconds. Is it possible to make a new virtual machine with DSM 6.2? Thanks. Regards. Fabien You have 6 on there? Amazing. I didn't think 6 was possible at all, thought we were stuck on 5.2. did you have to do anything special to get 6 on there? There is no suitable virtual NIC presented to DSM by Hyper-V. You could boot it, but not connect to it.

If fab198 has done it, maybe he could share with the community so we could build on it further

flyride Posted February 3, 2021 Share #8 Posted February 3, 2021 If you don't mind, please launch ssh and run this and post the results: lspci | grep "Class 0200"
KoenigLudwig Posted May 16, 2021 Share #9 Posted May 16, 2021 @fab198 Could you post as flyride has asked? I think many other could benefit from it. Thanks in advance.
PJS1778 Posted June 1, 2021 Share #10 Posted June 1, 2021 (edited) @flyride Not posting on behalf of @fab198. I too followed the link and instructions he used (thank you Google Translate) to build a DSM version 6.0.1 using Hyper-V on a Server 2019 system. The only thing i saw odd, was it told me I was using a 100m connection instead of my Gig one, but it seems to transfer fine. Copied over a 5 GB file at 242MB/s, which is a whole lot better then my legit DS212j system. Class 0200 didn't show up when in terminal 00:00.0 Class 0600: Device 8086:7192 (rev 03) 00:07.0 Class 0601: Device 8086:7110 (rev 01) 00:07.1 Class 0101: Device 8086:7111 (rev 01) 00:07.3 Class 0680: Device 8086:7113 (rev 02) 00:08.0 Class 0300: Device 1414:5353 This is what I got. If it helps. Edited June 1, 2021 by PJS1778
