  1. - USB Legacy in BIOS is ENABLED - USB works in 4.1-2668_1.3a This means that BIOS settings are OK. What particularly bothers me is that it works in your previous version (4.1-2668_1.3a) Even additional card from D-link (DUB-1310 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card) is not working. For this reason, I assume that some driver is broken or to old for new MB with 1150 socket.
  2. Last week, I tested this version: - USB not working on my MB - Extra nic required - one from 6 disk recognized as a esata disk But if you need some log files from this ver. I can try it again tomorrow after checking parity consistency on Volume1 & send it to you ???
  3. Does this mean there is a USB bug in DSM 4.2 build 3202++ (repack v1.0), becouse USB is not working by me ????

    sleep / WOL?

    1. you can turn off transmission & check if it goes to sleep 2. if there is a problem in transmission you can use power scheduler 3. To POWER ON the NAS, U can use still use WOL Power Scheduler > http://blogmydigitallife.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-automatically-turn-your-synology.html WOL setup > follow jesonwu steps > http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=665&hilit=wake
  5. I am almost sure, that I did tested all this version, but without any luck. Yes, when I plug in USB Stick nothing append, not even Keyboard on the xpenology screen. I did put in USB and type this command > tail -f /var/log/messages SYNOLOGY> tail -f /var/log/messages Aug 11 20:27:36 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:27:55 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:33:20 ssrotated: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:33:26 ssrotated: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:37:46 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:38:08 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:38:12 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:38:18 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:38:23 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Aug 11 20:38:40 ssd: smtp.c (381) Failed to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 Plugged device flashes for half a second, but that's all. 6. Answer is NO. Becouse of this, I did buy one new D-Link 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card (DUB-1310), but it does not work. I dont know what is inside your ver. 4.1-2668(1.2-1.3a), but it works. Please tell me how can I help you to resolve this ... deficiency ???
  7. YES ... I see only my 6 disc > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Synology/Slike/HDD.jpg I did try 4 different USB FLASH & UPS on this ports: - USB2 & USB3 on motherboard - USB3 & SD card reader, wich is connected to USB3 on MB (inside) - PCIex card with USB3 but, nothing works by me ... with 4.1-2668_1.2 & up, this stuff works.

  9. Yesterday I tried all USB ports (MB USB2,USB3, USB3 PCI CARD, CARD Reader with USB3) ... on my SYNOLOGY & they do not work. These is also the reason, why UPS is not recognized .
  10. Hi Trantor. I Thank you for all the effort and time that you put into this. After update: - all basic stuff are still working (Restart, Shutdown, WOL, Package Centre, Intel® I217V - LAN, installed packages ) - all 6 x SATA3 disc are stil present - did not lose any data (migrate) - What I dont see any more is my UPS, I assume that USB does not work. TNX again.
  11. AFP speed is one thing, rest is here (Changelog): http://www.synology.com/releaseNote_enu/DS109j.php

  13. Like you see, all my hardware is written in my signature. I have to admit, that I did have some problems in the beginning with DSM4.1-2668, but the good people on this forum helped me ... With this hardware I can run almost everythink & the comsumption is low - now with 6x3TB disk > 55W. What can I say, I love it .... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Synology/Slike/E3222327.JPG Regards.

  17. but, Ipad & Iphone showing General TAB in System Info (desktop version is blank)
  18. Hi. Does anybody know, how to repair this General TAB in System Information on DSM4.1-2668 ??? It is loading for about 90s & then stop`s. After 90s, all other TAB`s in system information are working, only General stay`s BLANK.
  19. cqoute, try this one from Trantor > XPEnology DS3612xs DSM 4.1 build 2668++ (repack v1.3a) http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=937
  20. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Synology/Slike/backup%20speed.jpg
  21. I did it this way, bur remember I am LINUX - beginner. 1. open control panel 2. open Terminal 3. enable SSH 4. open port 22 on you router and forward it to your SYNOLOGY 5. download Putty & run it http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html 6. in Putty set your HOSTNAME (Synology IP Address), PORT (22), CONNECTION TYPE (SSH) in clik on OPEN 7. Username: root 8. Password: xxxxx (admin password from SYNOLOGY) 9. folow this code: mkdir /volume1/@tmp cd /volume1/@tmp wget http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34829066/Synology/Datoteke/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 chmod +x libcrypto.so.1.0.0 cp libcrypto.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 reboot Maybe is my way somehow wrong, but it works. If is ther a short way - Please correct me. Users on this forum love to help, but they forget that we are not so skilled in LINUX environment. I think, Trantor will release new version with this fix ... soon.
  22. Trantor, In my signature, you can see all my hardware ... Asus Gryphon MB specs. are here https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/GRYPHON_Z87/#specifications I dont use DDNS service. DHCP or Static doesn't matter, I did try both - with both network cards on new formated HDD. IP address: 192.168.1.102 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Getaway: 192.168.1.1 DNS: 192.168.1.1 DNS: 212.18.32.10 (WAN), also try it 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 in SSH I can use wget & download packages to DiskStation !!! All this, without any settings works in 4.2-3202 or 4.2-3211 on both LAN cards. Please let me know if you need any other file, maybe from Ubuntu, maybe this would help you to eliminate some errors ???? TNX for all your support and good will. Regards, interested.
