Hey guys i think i found a small bug in SS package. So whenever i am looking at cam feed (best seen in BW video) If the cam is part of grid 4x4 it shows right colors. However if i click on it to display single cam view image becomes a bit pinkish/purplish. If i hoover over the image to make buttons bar appear on the bottom color becomes correct again. Look at the example below same cam same time, only difference one is 1 cam pers screen other is 4 cams per screen.

Hello boys! I want to share great news, a kind of life hack that I received by accident. I have 2 systems: 1) J4125 with 8 GB ram and 2) J4205 with 6 GB ram. The systems are interconnected via CMS. A total of 16 cameras can be added (8 cameras per system). I'm using 12 cameras so far. Both systems have dva1622 builds installed, which work fine, but unfortunately they have a limitation: a maximum of 2 Deep Analytics AI tasks or 1 face recognition task per system. Ok, 4 Deep Analytics AI tasks worked for me accordingly (2 tasks for each system). Surveillance station does not allow me to add more tasks (if already added tasks are enabled). Ok, I wanted to get around this in the following way, in the "Action Rules" create scripts that enable certain Deep AI tasks on certain cameras only when motion detection is triggered on these cameras, for example: motion detection is triggered on the camera in front, the action rule script disables all the "extra" deep ai tasks and turn them on only on the camera in front, and so similarly make scripts for all cameras so that unnecessary deep ai are turned off and only the necessary ones are turned on. But the problem turned out to be that only 5 actions can be set in the action rules and, accordingly, if I prepare deep ai tasks for all 12 cameras in advance, then in these 5 actions I will not be able to set deep ai only on this camera and disable it on the remaining 11 cameras, since I need 12 actions for this, and it is possible to set only 5. In the end, I spat on everything and just installed the script for enabling 2 deep ai tasks on each server and 2 face recognition tasks on the J4125 server when motion detection is triggered on any camera. That is, on the J4125 server, 2 deep ai tasks and 2 face recognition tasks would work in this way (taking into account the fact that in Synology 1 face recognition task = 2 deep ai tasks, it turns out as if 6 deep ai tasks were working, which in principle not allowed (limited) by the dva1623 system). I just decided to try what the system would answer me and expected that it would not execute this scenario and I would see an error in the logs that it was impossible to include so many tasks. However, I was then very surprised that the script of the action rule worked and included all these tasks !!! It turns out this software limitation in Surveillance station. It defines the dva1622 model and artificially limits the ability to MANUALLY enable AI tasks to 2, but there is a loophole in the rules of action so that a script can bypass this by enabling other pre-created AI tasks.
Total: now I have 2 face recognition tasks on one server, 2 Deep AI tasks, on the other server so far 2 Deep AI tasks (I haven’t organized scripts in it yet). At the same time, recognition works, tasks are running. I also have many packages running on J4125 (synology drive, synology photo (with face recognition album), application backup, permanent file indexing, and so on). The system does not hang, it works responsively, though the CPU usage shows 99%, but before that it also showed 98-99% (as I understand it, this happens due to file indexing)). Good luck to all!
Yea 2 action rules did sound a bit arbitrary. I was kind of expecting synology to bump this limit in next updates. Perhaps gurus in SS forum can come up with a hack to increase the number unofficially :)

Hmm but i was able to hot swap it to a different drive.... Hmm not sure it was just drive issue (the one i installed first failed SMART test and actually disappeared from disks after an hour) Once i plugged in another one it just showed up.

Hello guys , does the loader support hot plug of HDD. I tried plugging in a disk on hot, but it did not show up. I have bios set up to AHCI, there is NO option for hot plug. Not sure if it supports hot plug, will have to try in windows (need to install it first).
Any way to check it in DSM, or TC?

Do we know what are requirements for AI to work?
We know Intel® UHD Graphics 600 works, but how about HD 600, UHD620 or HD620.

Followed same steps as @dimakv2014
Success: AI works
Acer Desktop j4215 4gb ram, Realtek network adapter, 2 sata drives
One thing to note: Local Display output did not have anything legible until setup was finished and SS installed . (Was not possible to finish set up from on local controls)
Good job on the loader guys !
AI Does have few quirks:
- ALPR does not work very well. Car has to drive very slowly. I have 2 other duplication ALPR systems on the same cam and they do capture when SS does not.
- People/Car detection does miss events on the rare occasions, classifies bicycles as cars (on cam AI registers event but there is no event from SS AI)
- The AI places bookmarks on the time line, but next event previous even button on the timeline does not see bookmarks as events. Had to create an action rule to put motion events on AI triggers.
- 2 AI tasks is way too little 🤣 Hopefully they can increase the number in next SS versions

./rploader.sh serialgen DVA1622 realmacgenerate unique serial number? For example can 2 physical (with different MACs) devices created this way coexist on the same network and be joined by CMS?

Well yes and no, he did have a success before . So i was curious how was AI if he got a chance to test it.

странно, что в ветке не так много упоминаний об этом, я имею в виду, что у меня сейчас 2 установки, и они обе затронуты этим, занимая около 200 ГБ места каждую неделю.Я читал каждый пост в этой ветке на протяжении многих лет , и все же это застало меня врасплох. Это вызвано установкой какого-либо пакета Synology? Другими словами, простая установка заново только DSM+SS вызовет это?

Кто-нибудь сталкивался с кошмаром по имени @eaDir. При установке "версия 8.2.7-6222 и что ломаная с лицензией на 40 камер" я обнаружил папки, созданные с многочисленными подпапками и файлами (150 тысяч файлов в неделю, примерно 200 ГБ в неделю). В прошлый раз я заметил, что он занимает 4 ТБ места, вытесняя записи :(. Единственный способ удалить @eaDir - это SSH и удалить файлы вручную. WinSCP просто зависает. Кто-нибудь знает, как справиться с этой проблемой. Единственное решение на форуме было сообщение, в котором говорится о том, чтобы запланировать задачу по удалению папок, соответствующих маске.Но я никогда не слышал об этой проблеме в этой ветке, что заставляет меня думать, что есть другое решение и причина проблемы.

Sorry if this is silly question, but i have read trough all the pages and i still a bit lost at what is required to run this build and gain full functionality.
I do have VMWare workstation on Ryzen 9 CPU, ESXI 7 on Xenon e5-2620 v1, I can potentially try bare metal 4970k (or ESXI or PROXMOX) but motherboard on this is very glitchy. What is the easiest way to approach?
Also i think 1st post has some updated instructions, but there are still some extra steps spread throughout the thread.

Кому интересно вот темы. Поднял на виртуалке одну DSM 7 (DS3615xs) - получилось + 2 лицензии к "железному" DS918+ (через CSM)
Сегодня от нечего делать поднял на каком-то компе уже DVA3221 - еще +8 лицензий )))
На виртуалке к сожалению не получилось. Т.к. у меня Gen8 Micro. Поколение проца старое. DVA3221 не "взлетел"
У кого просто на железе XPenology, вариант перехода на DVA3221 - вполне нормальная тема
А можно описать процесс в общих чертах. Пробавал на виртуалке не пошло, думаю что из-за процa он амд.

Any requirement on what CPU has to be on bare metal or host? Someone mentioned that HP Microserver gen 8 not able to load it. I have Ryzen 9 and Vmware Workstation and can't make it work. Not sure if it is my config or host.

after extraction delete SurveillanceStation-x86_64-8.2.2-5766.spk
You will find a file called "INFO"
Edit this file with text editor and find section
version=“8.2.2-5766”
Change it to:
version="8.2.6-6009"
and save file.
Again in terminal pack new SPK as follows:
You must be inside directory where is INFO file - run this:
tar -cvf SurveillanceStation-x86_64-8.2.6-6009.spk *
And voila - you have new SPK - just update it drom DSM, and inside SurveillanceStation just go to Applications and update Device Pack 😉
Кто нибудь пробовал такое же проделать с версией 8.2.7-6222 -> 8.2.8 что бы получить device pack 5.8.0-2999 ?

The most of AI function in SS is exactly for DVA3219
Да если крякнут бутлоадер DVA3219 то там по умолчанию кажись на 8 камер лицензия. Многим думаю их хватит

А на не крякнутой версии 8.2.7-6222 всё работает нормально?

@Ando Нет CMS это не клиент для винды и отношения к DScam тоже не имеет.
CMS системы это когда существует несколько хреноложий которые управляются мастером для: просмотра, настройки, перевода съёмки на запасные системы есть основная перестала писать. Может еще какие функции но в общем смысле я думаю понятен.

А тем временем вопрос, никто не заморачивался таким вопросом, который я пытаюсь уже 2 дня додумать...
Есть камеры 5MP , пишут по движению. Пишут именно в максимальном разрешении 25 FPS
Чтобы посмотреть запись перехожу в модуль Временная шкала, на не очень мощных компьютерах лаги жуткие, просадка по FPS до 1-5, а все потому что нет второго потока Альтернативного. Все пункты перешерстил, в упор не нашел такой функции или возможности. Есть только запись постоянная в альтернативном потоке и при движении переключается в Основной поток, и снова грабли на не очень мощных компьютерах. Надеялся найти как при просмотре в еальном времени, открывается альтернативный, захотел, переключился в Основной. А вот чтобы так с записью было. Нема походу.
Приложение конечно в телефоне нормально работает и на хорошем компе. А вот на слабеньких машинах начинается беда...
Не пробовали ставить десктоп клиент и смотреть через него?

Что то у меня форум не постит посты с цитатами
Проверял метод @sandro_66 и правда работает только у меня каждое распознавание лица добавляло около 25% нагрузки на j4125 может проц помощней и с графической картой 630 будет легче это тянуть.
Такой вопрос кто умеет файлики править: насколько сложно убрать это ограничение из интерфейса? чтоб с не создавать эти задачи для включения AI минуя UI.
